| Hi all,
Sorry to post an O/T on match day but I do need some advice.
.
We are going to buy an i Pad 3 but there are 2 versions Wi-Fi & 4G.
What the heck is 4G and is it worth me paying the extra for a 4G Tablet.
We would use the I Pad in the home but does 4G mean we can take it out with us?
Are there any extra costs with 4G?
Thanks & once again sorry for posting on match day.
Regards FB

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

| There is no 4G availability in the UK yet so really it is 3G. 3G on an iPad means you can access the Internet without WiFi. If you have WiFi only you'll ned to access a WiFi point to get online. If you're going to use it mostly at home, I would go for WiFi only. As for cost, it will cost more as you'll pay more for the iPad and you'll have to pay for 3G contract similar o a mobile.
As an aside, if you're in any doubt, get one. I wasn't sure if I'd get value out of my iPad 2 but I love it. Awesome.

| Not sure if the 'offers' are still as good on this iPad as they were on the iPad 2, but when the iPad 2 came out last year, her mobile phone provider (Vodafone) offered her a 3G iPad 2, 16gb memory for £15-£20 a month, it was on a 24 month contract which is a bit frustrating, but to buy a sim-free iPad 2 with 3G was at least £499, so getting one with a few gb of data thrown in there whilst not having to pay it all in one go seemed decent enough.
I've not read too much into the tablet market, but I do recall when the Borderlands 2 preview came out, most people were saying it was being shown on a tablet that provided console-like graphics. IMO, if a tablet comes out that could run a full version of Football Manager, then I think I'd take the plunge and go for it. Seems like I'll be waiting for a few years for that though.

| If you want a tablet with flash id go with the samsung galaxy tab 10.1
Its cheaper than the iPad 2 and in my opinion just as good, i do prefer the android operatring system over iOS as well as it has more customisation options. however the amount of customisation available means it takes a little bit longer to get to grips with all of the features that an iPad.
there's a review from techradar on the link if you fancy having a look

hope that helps
