| OK, we've won the LEAGUE leaders shield. FANTASTIC
But, what was the most pivotal moment of the season?
For me, it was the last 10 mins of the HKR game at home (2nd game of the season)
We'd been "handed our ar535" at Cardiff, by Hudds, and picked up 5 serious injuries, to rub salt into the wounds.
We then play some OKish stuff for the opening bit of the Rovers game, then Blake Green "tore us a new @@@@hole" for the next hour, only for us to find some backbone, and conjour up a win.
Can you imagine if we'd have lost that game? Our next 2 fixtures were
Stains (appaling record for the previous 15 seasons), and
Leeds (appaling record recently).
Without grinding out that HKR win, we COULD have been 0 wins from 4 games, and Wigan (a) a few weeks later.
That, for me, summed up how far we've come MENTALLY, and was the most important bit of the season.
This ide now has belief.
Lets go on and win the GF

| In a negative way Solomona getting injured in the QF, we had them on the rack they had nothing then the injury changed the momentum of the game.

You could well be right, if we had gone to the saints game having played 2 lost 2 our season could have turned out very differently

Mummy duck is now thoroughly depressed. SHE was the one that was famous for losing five in a row........until the 2011 GF!!!!!: |
|
| I remember at the Hull Kr game, the difference in volume between Brett preparing to take the kick and when the flags went in the air.

| I'd agree with the Hull KR game.
Also, in hindsight, that victory over Huddersfield at home has now set us up nicely for this first play off game.
If we had been beaten 3 times in one season by the same team, that could have been at the back of the players minds!

| You can point to so many things. I think the biggest individual moment of the season was beating Saints in Widnes. I think everyone stood up and thought "wow Warrington can do it"; media, fans and the team themselves.

| There were a number of milestone victories and performances this season, all of which contributed to Our Title.
The two wins over Saints were crucial, with the 2nd win being the more important of the two because it confirmed that we can beat Saints regularly.
I posted on here at the time that the win in Perpignan was a real milestone in our season and if I was asked to single out one victory I would highlight that one.

| Agree 100% about the Hull KR game.
On only a mildly related note, I was convinced that day that Hull KR would go on to challenge for the top 5; their defence was excellent. I know they've ended up 7th, but realistically they've not been at the races.

| I know what TS would say - the next game is the crucial one, nothing else counts. I think a lot of the ones already mentioned are good calls but the QF might be a turning point, it brought out a determination in the team to get ahead of the pies for the LLS, I just hope they carry it on into the play offs.

| Agree with you Lefty. We were poor in most aspects against Rovers and a couple of years ago we would have lost that game without a doubt. This sides commitment and trust in one another is the best I've seen from any Warrington side. That win, the win against Saints and against Wigan a few weeks later were very important. However the loses straight after to Catalan and Huddersfield showed that we still had to improve but our league performances since the cup defeat have been fantastic. We have all the momentum to carry it forward to the GF. Lets get right behind the boys tonight like we did against Wigan and Hull. COME ON THE WIRE.
