| The majority of people on this forum, myself included, will not have been alive the last time Wire topped the table at the end of the season. Even fewer will have been alive the last time we were crowned champions, and no matter what happens tonight that's all to play for over the next month.
Don't take it for granted. Don't assume we're always going to be up there, because as Bradford - who experienced a period of dominance we can only dream of - are currently proving, nothing lasts forever.
Savour it. Enjoy it. Be part of it.

We've all come to win the league!
And we'll really shake 'em up,
When we finish at the top!
Cos the Wires are the greatest rugby team!
Enjoy today everyone, lets hope it end how we want it to!

| Looking at the first ever Super League season, out of the 12 original team, 5 teams don't play at this level anymore (6 if you include London Bronco's name/location change) and only 4 teams have ever done anything in the league.
It could have been so different for Warrington. By not forgetting where we've come from, I can savour where we are now
To quote the poet that is Fat Boy Slim
'We've come a long long way together
Through the hard times and the good
I have to celebrate you baby
I have to praise you like I should '

| I am glad I am in work and have something to keep me busy, this would mean so much if we won the league today.
The Grand Final has overshadowed what an achievement winning the league means. I was only a baby last time we did it so I am buzzing with excitement today. If we don't do it at least we had a damn good season.

Mummy duck is now thoroughly depressed. SHE was the one that was famous for losing five in a row........until the 2011 GF!!!!!: |
|
| I just about remember those days in the early seventies when we won the cup and topped the table. I was only a kid but remember the town turning primrose and blue. 33 years ago, me and my mates from school started going to Wilderspool each week and went through all those ups and downs (panicing over relegation, playing the Aussies). Family life got in the way for a few years in the middle but now I have a daughter who for the last few seasons has enjoyed the delights of Rugby League. Next weekend she heads off to university and so tonight is daddy/daughter time watching her last live Wolves game before she goes. She's seen 2 cup final victories. She's seen the monkey of St helens well an truley trampled. She's saw the lads beat Wigan at the pie-dome this year and last. She's seen us do the double over Wigan/Saints/Leeds. She's seen us score 100+ in a game. I just hope she goes off knowing what its like to sing "Championes".....and mean it.

Very true. I still view rugby league as being 3 main competitions......Challenge Cup, League and then Play-offs (Premiership).

Strange that, I went away shortly after we last finished top, I went to what was then Teesside Poly and never really came back home to live. I too have seen hard times and great times and I shall certainly be there tonight. Now the Wire!

| I was alive the last time we won the league, but I don't remember that.
But I remember the last time we was in this position. Leigh away in the 80s
This FC team will be no pushovers.

| As they say
Storms make the roots grow stronger
I was there through the bad times and this season even if we lose tonight and win nothing i'll be immensly proud and privileged to have been around to see this team play.

As it says in this weeks guardian; 13 years after almost going out of business, we can win the league.
I am proud of where we are and, even more, where we came from to get here.
Well done to everyone; team, staff and supporters for just getting this far.

| I have read all these posts and have shed a tear, very moving, absolutely gutted I won't be at Hull tonight. Family working gets in the way. I hope we get the result we all want. I hope you all have a ball and stay safe. I will be watching on Sky. Shout and sing your hearts out for the boys. COME ON THE WIRE. Whatever I am so proud of the team this year has been a blast.
