| Possibly returning to SL next year for our friendly neighbours Widnes, when you consider that he has struggled for form over the last 2 years or so it's fair poor signing as well as his 'off field antics' which could be difficult to handle.

Also mentions that Ben Fisher is in talks with Widnes, could this mean the Clarkey to Widnes deal is off?

| Widnes are leaving it late IMO in terms of signings. Perhaps they will just accept being whipping boys for the first year, and then look to consolidate for 2013.
Hugely underwhelmed by all of their signings thus far. Ben Fisher would be good for them though.
Oh it's going to be fun dicking all over them next year..

They've made a few decent signings I think.
Off the top of my head Shaun Briscoe is a cracking signing for them, not the player he once was but still a good player. Ben Cross (whatever you guys think!) is a good prop, and did alright for Wigan in the few games he played. Ben Davies is a crackin signing for them as well.

To be fair I had forgot about Briscoe. He's a half decent player. Ben Davies, and Cross, are OK too I suppose but all it outlines for me is that there simply are not enough good players to go around in a 14 team comp.

| I think they are doing it the right way. Briscoe, Cahill, Cross and Isa etc are decent signings for Widnes, although they are no world beaters, they have the experience that will help give Widnes stability in their first year. They need to build slow and steady going forward if they are going to have any success.
As a Wire fan, I actually want Widnes to succeed in the franchise environment, mainly due to the rivalry, but also, the heritage they have.
I'd rather them build steady than do an all guns blazing appraoch and end up on their 's in 3 years time. So long as their fans appreciate it could be a 8 years slug until they are near any level of challenging then they will be fine. If they are calling for Betts' head after 3 games, I will be rolling my eyes!

| Don't forget they have signed Patrick Ah Van from the Dulls, another half decent player....by the demics standards!

They'd have been better off signing Denise Van Outen!

We have another 7 players to come in yet so I wouldn't formulate a team just yet, we'll do okay next year.

| Tim Smith is good with ball in hand, but in defence he is a pudding.

| Tim Smith is Steve Wright In The Afternoon's sidekick, and from his profile page, doesn't look much like a RL player
