| What looked @ half time to be a stroll in the park ended up very nervy. Can't quite put my finger on the reason, but i recon the weather & lack of prop rotation had a big part to play, plus lack of composure when attacking their line.

WIRE TILL I DIE: |

| There's the victory where we had to dig in. We were miles from our best in the second half and got the win. Case closed

| Best team on the night won. I think it was mostly an attitude thing. Wire took the foot off the gas in the second half & let us back in the game.
Absolutely woeful performance from us imo. I honestly thought it was going to be a cricket score after 20 mins.

We just kept trying to force things, when there was no need to really. At 22-0 we should have just kept pinning them in their own 10m and it was impossible really to bring the ball out with the weather and cruelty of our defence.
Some cracking individual performances, I thought Grix was out of this world, I really did. Myler, Westwood, Monaghan x2 I thought were also very, very good.
Bridge really does look a fish out of water at stand off, he's a belting centre but he's awful in the halves. Also, having him missing means Blythe gets his gig at centre and my heart is in my mouth every time he carries the ball. He just doesn't seem to understand ball security, at all. It's such a shame that Gaz O'Brien got such a serious injury.
That first 20 mins was just cruel, just utter cruel dominance, loved it.

| we were unlucky again with injuries during the game....losing Ben Harrison AND Coops was the reason they got back into it....we tired in the second half..thankfully we had done enough in the first to get through.
Carvell and Myler had great great games.

| The first 25 minutes was fist pump in the air, exhilarating rugby league. Some of the defence was utterly brutal. Exceptional. Shots from Westwood, Grix and Monas were as hard as I have ever seen.
As the game progressed (and the rain came) we failed to respect possession and it was Carvell and Wood who dragged us out of the arm wrestle.
Hodgson was class but never is anything less. Grix was great again, what an underrated player.
Bridge was weak but will be better next week and we have to stick with it.
Blythe wasn't the only one to make errors, LAnderson was poor again and for my mind doesn't do enough work in carrying the ball in difficult areas of the field and doesn't have the work-rate we need.

| the first 20 mins you were unbelievable,we couldn't get near you!
a shocking performance from us again, but we showed some fight in the 2nd half, i thought you were gonna put at least 50 on us but once we scored we grew in confidence and at 22-16 had you on the rack, but errors and penalties undid us, saying that if we had taken anything out of the game we wouldn't have deserved it,the best team easily won on the night, hopefully we'll be back in the play offs for revenge
and a big thanks to the wire fans and cheshire police who were full of praise for our small group of travelling supporters and were as friendly and welcoming as ever

That was his first game in weeks.
Thought Hodgson was unreal at times shame Joel or Atkins couldn't finish off his break in the first half.
Blythe went okay his pass to Joel was class.

Good call, we were trying to score from all over the park last night and the conditions were bad at times, not exactly best for free flowing rugby. When Giants got a roll on they looked good but we had to reshuffle due to the injuries.
Some excellent tackling on show last night, the hits were brutal especially Benny. Stand out players Benny, Hodgson, Grix, Myler, Carvell and J Monas.

| Some of the reasons for the Giants comeback are for me as follows.
The Giants are a great team and they are third in the League for a reason.
Coops and Benny H were both injured after 35 mins and neither came back on again, this meant our pack had to do more hard minutes in the second half and were tired, for example Benny W did the full 80 minutes.
The weather mad the going heavy which made it more of a slog for our forwards who could not get a rest.
On occasions during the game we did not show the composure which we have and have shown on many many occasions in other games.

| I think they got a decent try. Then we kicked the ball out on the full from the KO. You could see them lift. Once Robinson got some space they looked dangerous. Anderson was miles out of position for two of their tries.

Brett was class. Joel should have had a hat-trick. I think Ryan was bit angy at himself to be honest. Made few dumb decisions. Richard was class in the first half, a bit quite in the second. Michael was putting some bit shots and dislodged quite a few balls. Jon was his usual steady self when he came on.

Things I learned on 11/08/12
Gareth Hock can't pass
Gareth Hock can't run
Gareth Hock can't fight

| A few key things I thought from the game;
Huddersfield never got on the attack outside of their half. (dwarfed by WArrington)
They scored of several WArrington mistakes. That 80 metre penalty from the kick off was a killer and they were bound to score in that weather.
However, the key reason Hudds got back in was because, as some have said, we were men short for lots of the game. Luckily it wasn't as bad as MM against them but it was bad. The forwards we were missing in weather that dictates a forward battle really testifies to the Wire attitude.
Secondly, it was poor decision making when the chance of the try line beckoned. Their was Brett's knock on from a clean try scoring break, numerous fluffed chances on their line and at times just giving them the ball in when about to score.
However, overall i feel defend like that all year and it'll be hard work for teams to score points. The defense at times was punishing; almost torture. Hudds were just not given time to breath for most of the match.
Attacking needs some work. However, I can't moan at a 12 point win.

| I know TS doesn't like kicking 2 point pens but last night was a perfect example when we should have taken the two in the second half...especially considering the situation with the missing players. (Coops and Harrison)
