"We are pleased to give you the opportunity sign up to the 2011 Spire Healthcare English Half Marathon with amazing benefits as well as getting weekly personal training with Warrington Wolves and Great Britain Rugby League start Paul Wood and Mickey Higham (pictured below).
Paul and Mickey have recently set up a Personal Training business and want to get 12 lucky runners to get fit, get motivated and get fundraising in a head to head challenge.
The 'Try Fitness Training Challenge' will be made up of two teams 6, headed up by Paul and Mickey. The challenge is all about which team will get the fastest aggregate time at the English Half, but more importantly which team can raise the most for their chosen charity. Paul's team will fundraise for Help For Heroes and Mickey's team will fundraise for the Steps Charity, as his son Harry was born with a club foot.
The challenge is the brainchild of Rob Griffiths, Director at Blue Primrose Consulting who are the local development partners to the English Half and sponsors of the Wolves. Rob commented: "The English Half is billed as "The People's Challenge" and this competition is in keeping with that spirit. There is still plenty of time to turn from someone who isn't overly active into a finisher at the English Half in September. Paul and Mickey will be there along with all our other partners such as Spire Healthcare, New Balance and The Park Royal Hotel to make that happen!"
So what is the package?
• Free entry into the 2011 Spire Healthcare English Half Marathon
• Weekly training sessions with the Wolves stars
• Individual Training programme
• Invite to pre-race and post-race parties to be held at the four star Park Royal, Q Hotel
• Training kit from New Balance including trainers, shorts, t-shirts
• Gait Analysis from New Balance to get the best running shoes for the big day
• Team Kit – New Balance Tech T-shirt which will also include charity logo
• Discounts to Spire Healthcare treatments including physio
• Gym passes from the Park Royal Hotel
• Runners goody bag and medal
How to get involved!
Simply tell us in a maximum of 100 words why you should win this package. Mickey, Paul and Rob will pick the most inspiring and challenging stories. So if you are overcoming injury, illness, years of inactivity or just want to take on the English Half Challenge, email rob.griffiths@blueprimrose-consulting.com by Wednesday 22nd June. The race is open to all runners aged 17 years and older on 18th September 2011.

| What a fantastic opportunity to support two great causes. I'm up for this one. Will it be Team Woody Or Team Higham? There is only one way to find out, "ENTER"
Fingers crossed.

| well i am aware it is 13 miles lol used to do that with a fully loaded backpack weapon and helmet followed by an assault course.
doubt id be able to walk it with a fully loaded sandwich and a cap let alone followed by assault course now.
thats the problem with having kids all work and no time to keep fit plus knee injury a while ago didnt help lol
