You're probably looking at a slighter tighter game for us, maybe say 48-16.

Glad you're that confident after our last SL home performance. I don't think the Bulls game was an indicator of where our form is currently as they were so poor. If our pack doesn't perform we'll struggle and Rangi Chase is capable of running the show on his own. Us by 12 but it'll tough imo.

You say that as if you're run away leaders who are unstoppable at home...However, recent loses to Catalan and Hull at home (both teams we've beaten) would suggest you are very much beatable as are every side in the comp. I think you'll win, but I expect us to give you a game.

The thing i've noticed with Cas is their fitness levels not being the best.

The game i saw at Cardiff even though you won, the games i've seen on TV and the game i watched at the stoop show me that after the 60 minute mark your intensity levels seriously drop off.

Very evident in their defeat to Saints as well. On 67 minutes or thereabouts they were 2 scores to the good and Saints looked absolutely exhausted.

Saints ended up winning as Cas stopped making metres and started falling off tackles.

For the Wire it's one of those games where a big effort at the start and maintaining focus will see them win by 40. A slow start or a bit lacking in concentration and you could easily lose.

agree with you sad merchant, It is the fear of watching Wire. We can talk about the days we got beat by hundred. I hate knowing that we can dismantle and break teams and then not do it. I was never disappointed watching wire lose valiantly.

Are you sure that wasn't to do with the awful refereeing rather than fitness?

Put it this way, we are a better side than last year and our fitness is considerably better.

That said, I fully expect a stuffing. Solomona could have a field day with offloads and we all know Briers likes playing against us.

I dunno, the ref doesn't make you miss tackles or fail to complete your own sets. The last 10 minutes Saints were making massive metres without doing very much as if I remember rightly we finished the game with absolutely no half backs.

Wasn't at the game so can't comment but general consensus from those that went was that the result doesn't fairly reflect the game (especially considering the Puletua/Soliola - not sure which - knock on in the build up to one of your tries).
