Warrington fans write off Riley more quickly than those of any other club, and yet he still comes back each time and has a 60% try-scoring rate across his career (and much higher over the last couple of seasons).

He'll be heavily involved and he'll score tries for fun again in 2011, despite the usual blowhards saying that he 'wouldn't be in a full-strength side'.

First game, i would prefer Brett at Fullback, personally. Maybe more in the season he will get on the bench or start in place of Brett.

Where would you play him in the first choice 17?

Even last season for me he wouldn't have been in the first choice 17 however he did play in nearly every game.

i suspect that riley will play more than he misses, there is no way we're gonna go throught the season like last year with very few injuries, plus if he plays like last year he'll win his place on merit alone.

Give Joel time to settle as well,we all know Aussies need bedding in before they start playing well, otherwise riley will be back in,plus he doz nt have anything to prove to anyone

seems to me if you come through the scholarship and not bought in your classed as second stream irrelevant of how well you performed.

Maybe if he developed an Aussie twang, it would improve his chances of selection ??

Weird thing is, if we played the Grand Final tomorrow (as a result of a faustian pact of some sort) I don't think he'd get into the team. However, I want to make clear that I think Riley is an excellent player who never lets the team down and, as you say, is a fantastic finisher. It says more about the quality with have in the 3/4 rather than anything about Riley's ability or contribution.
