| Hoping to take the family away mid March and would like to stay in an old cottage or something similar. Probably for a long w/e fri-monday. Somewhere around 2 hours away or so.
Was thinking North/Mid-Wales coastal, or up to the lakes
5 adults and a babba.
Any reccomendations?

| We went Abersoch twice last year in a rented Holiday House. Going again at the start of May. Would highly recommend it but its pushing a 2&1/2 3 hour journey depending on how many tractors you get behind after the A55.

Sydders on the Saints site has a place in Holmfirth that's really nice.
Try searching for the barn at holmfirth on google and the homepage will come up.

Mate of mine has got a caravan in Aberscoch/Pwhelli. Really nice coastal drive along the A55 when the traffic cones are not out.

WE stayed in these about 3-4 years ago it maybe a bit too far its Seathwaite near Conniston Lake, a bit over 2 hours if i remember.
beatiful place, the cottages are opposite a working farm and have stream running at the back. nothing around within walking distance (apart from the stunnning scenery of course) but the nearby Newfield inn served top notch food (No TV though !!).
the nearby harknott pass is a must, makes the snake pass look like the A49
and the real tourist areas of Windermere are only 40 minutes away.
and Lakeside is even closer with its steam railway and other attractions.
