Let's remember 18 months ago.

If someone had said to me 18 months ago that we'd have gone from 10th to 3rd in super league and won 2 challenge cups I would've questioned their sanity.

We've had a great season and hopefully an even better one next yr! Cheers to sir Tony smith and the team.

if only all our fans had a midset like yours! can't wait for next year and it's just typical of wire to get so close but yet so far which is why we love them so much.

Huddersfield have now finished ahead of you this year, you're the fifth best in the league. Big improvement on last year, good season for you guys.

You can be proud of your team! You have retained the CC and had your best ever SL finish. Stick by your team and success will come in the future. Annoys me tbh, you have made great progress but because you havent won tonight fans get on the players back.

Think people have incredably short memories. If before the start of the season you had offered me 3rd in the league (just missing out on 2nd) with retaining the challenge cup, but loosing both play off games, i would have snapped your hand off.

We have come a long way since the dark days of Cullen & Smith has built a good mentality @ the club. He has consistently said that we are a work in progress & last night showed it. We need to get from somewhere a winning mentality in the big games (CC excepted).

I also think that getting to the CC final has stretched the squad which really is not strong enough to be able to perform in the play offs & win the CC cup.

I agree we can't complain at this season, retaining the cup finishing third. Some fans who might have only been watching in the past 12months were probably disappointed. I always look back to one particular game in the cullen days wakey away, bitter cold, chucking it down losing 10 2. We have come so far since then and we can only continue to thrive .

You go down to 5th due to the RFL's play off system realignment. Technically, Celtic Crusaders who finished 8th could have gone on and finished 1st.
Saints finished 1st in the league in 2008 season but lost to Leeds in the final and ended up finiishing 2nd.
This is not a dig, but have the wolves won a play off game , I'm not sure.

Yeah, Leeds away. Good luck to Saints for the next few weeks, might win your first trophy of the decade. It's been a while.
