...today's game and this season.
1) The Warrington team have come a long way. Yes we let Hudds have too much ball in the first half and 'forgot' our defence. But credit to the opposition for playing an excellent game plan. However the team came out and managed to turn the game around, and very nearly won it. Their heads did not go down.
2) Yes the first half was poor but I really think the season hit the team like a brick wall last week. Emotionally in particular. It's a long season without a single break and Wembley was just too awesome to move on from
. Certainly something to work on though.
3) The Super League is tantalisingly close. On the day, pretty much any team can turn the other over. This is why SL is such a fantastic sport to watch, it makes other sport feel like you are watching paint dry.
4) Judging by the crap topics I have just ploughed through about how poor our fans are or how arrogant our team was, I guess we are a team people worry about now. They seem to care a great deal about us.
5) I am mightly impressed with the progress this season. I still can't believe I went to Wembley AND we won. It's a memory I will hold close. Smith and the lads can be proud of all they have achieved and the applause they received leaving the field today (yes trolling opposition fans I hate to tell you this did happen) indicated as such.
6) I am glad we have signed Hodgson
Enjoy a well earned rest lads and come back fresh and ready to take it another step further - the double, or even the treble!
