If we beat Saints on Friday and Wigan win, presuming Wigan don't pick us in the club pick, who gets home advantage ? Us because we went through to the semi at the first opportunity, or Saints because they finished 2nd in the league ?

Also Wigan (if they beat Leeds) wouldn't be able to pick Wire (if they beat Saints) - the choice is only from the week 2 winners (when the picking team gets a week off).

What happens if Leeds win? Do, the winners of Saints- Wire have to do 'club call' thing? Now that would be Sophie's choice.

Jeeze! Hope its not a Warrington- Leeds winning weekend. Interesting, who would Wire pick if it was, say Leeds, St Helens or Wigan at home.

Warrington RLFC: The Wire, NOT Warrington Wolves FORZA WIRE:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_46584.jpg

If Leeds win we couldn't pick them so the only choice for us would be whoever won in week two.

If it was anyone from positions 5-8 I'd expect us to pick them but if it was Saints or Wigan it would be a helluva decision.

I personally think it's disrespectful to pick anyone other than the lowest ranked team, which would mean Saints. If we selected Wigan ahead of them, as well as insulting the league leaders, we would also be accused of running scared of Saints (who we could still end up meeting in the final) despite beating them two weeks earlier.

Either way Clubcall should be scrapped as it doesn't reward the highest ranked team, it simply puts a needless pressure on them if the media hype it up. On saying that I expect Wigan or Saints to have the "honour" so I doubt we'll have to worry about it.

The NRL has 8 teams in the play offs but they don't use club call? How does their system work?

Tony Smith should just flick a coin in the press conference if we happen to get clubcall involving Wigan or Saints.

Week 1

1 v 8
2 v 7
3v 6
4 v 5

The two highest placed winners go to week 3, the two lowest placed losers are out.

Week 2

The remaining highest placed winner of week 1 (often no 3) plays the remaining lowest placed loser of week 1. The remaining two teams play each other with home advantage going to the winner of week 1.

In week 3 the highest placed winner in week 1 will play the lowest placed winner of week 2. The other winner of week 1 will play at home to the other winner of week 2. Winners go to the Grand Final.

rlBut if thats to confusing, heres Wikipedia.rl

I was thinking of that haha would get rid of the motivational push the oppostion would get from the coach saying they think we are the easy team.

i'd pick wigan.

look at the facts.

We beat Wigan twice this year. (solo's try counted in my fairytale world) Beating them once emphatically.
We ARE scared of Saints. Well not exactly but i always feel uneasy when it is us vs them. I think the team feels the same. Hopefully we will start winning soon so it doesn't scare the new signings too much. Us fans realize it has been a long time in the cold.
I always think Saints play a sexier ru gby that is harder to beat IMO.

Wigan it is and i think they would really fear us the week before the Grand Final.
