Others/g24.gif No one likes, we don`t care
We are Wire, Super Wire
We are Wire, from The Zoo:Others/g24.gif |

| Just had news that my tickets have been purchaced and are some where safe So I`m a bit giddy tipsy and I apoligise for boring you in advance.
I think a lot of younger Warringtonions have forgotten to remember how important their Town is. Just take the situe of Wire, in the middle of (just 16/17 miles to either) Liverpool & Manchester,2 major cities not just in Britain but Europe and are known the World over. The.number of absconders from these 2 cities either escape to Wire or they shack up with our beautiful women and I`d say probably are equal in number. West Wire (Sankey, Penketh, Old Hall etc) being more scousish East Wire (Woolston, Padgate, Orford etc) being more Mancish. I also like to think that when the Yanks were here, cos there was so many of them they left a little in us. You talkin t me.
Warrington was a major Roman centre, due to its easiness of crossing the Mersey. Hence why Bridgefoot is easy at rush hour.
We`re split 4 ways on footy teams Everton, Liverpoo , United and Shi**y. With United pipping Everton/ Liverpoo for support. I don`t think anywhere else has that. We`re connected by the M62, M56, Mersey, Manny Ship Canal, Bridgewater Canal, A57 and the East Lancs.
Warrington is the 3rd biggest town/city in the NW
`We are why we are` is down to our geography. No other town/city in Britain resembles this freak of nature. We are a proud, passionate and outspoken race that loves nothing more than intergrating.
ps Primrose & Blue for me and for you
C`mon Wire
These are the views of someone who lives on their own and can make themselves laugh

Either sign him or get rid of him before he does too much damage - Warrington coach Alex Murphy on Mike Nicholas after Mike had turned up for a trial: |

| Englightening topic Sir
So when we're away from Warrington, what upsets us more, being called Scouse or Manc? lol
My stock answer is 'I'm neither, I'm a Warringtonian'

Scouser.
Don't mind being called a Manc as I love Manchester. But being called a scouser really gets on my boobies.

| I think we are more Manc than Scouse anyway. Probably because Scousers are so unique though!

4729_1341555985.jpg I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_4729.jpg |

| Ah the Manc/Scouse debate.
Scousers think I have a Manc accent, Mancs think I have a Scouse one.
I was ina a dingy Hong Kong basr at about 6am a few years ago and some guy come up to me and asked how Warrington was. He picked my accent as he grew up in Stockton Haeth and lived in HK 20 years but still recognised the accent.
Any way as a Penketh lad with Widnedian parents and married to a scouser and living in Scouseland I am a WARRINGTONIAN.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

| I've lived in Manchester for 9 years, Warringtonians, on the whole sound more Mancunian than Liverpudlian. However it is still a disctinct accent as far as I'm concerned.
I always tell people I come from Warrington. Firstly, because it's the truth, and secondly, because I'm proud of it. Everyone I know since I've moved here know that and are aware of my Wire affliction* and ask me about the games. I've had very senior people in work this week ask me if I'm going Wembley. Manchester and Liverpool are great cities with their own identity. We've got ours. Let's keep it that way.
*as we're not w*nky anymore, that some probably say affiliation
