| Interesting that there are only 2 players (Briers & Woody) who still play for Wire

| i remember being at the game when we lost 80-0. saints have always had that financial backing over the years, like wigan and leeds, and
it's very easy for them to take the out of us in terms of superleague success. Wire have always had genuine support since rl has
started, even in bad times, - the 1954 replay will never be beaten. I'm proud to be one of c.7000 fans to loose again at saints this season
cos it proves how much our town cares about our team, we'll get there, we're there and there abouts now. big game sunday v leeds.
i would love it if we stuffed 'em- the leeds v wire thread on the leeds board gets me a bit annoyed. nearly as arrogant as the saints fans.
come on wire!

Was that the 80-nil which lead to Johnny going? The players had turned it in then pre-match in classic Warrington style. A bit like the Nikau BBQ the night before pee up team who disgraced the shirt against Bradford at home. I hated it when our team did that. I cannot see that a Tony Smith team would ever do that again.
