Can't see what all the opposition is. The place is going down hill fast, the council has no money (in fact it has to find millions in savings) & this scheme will give them the resources to get it sorted.

Before they start selling off public space that was left to the Warrington people, they should stop the many jollies that council members go on every year with tax payers money. |

I take it you don't go there !
The town hall and park would also make a great hotel, Vicky park could become a private members club, in fact stick an exclusive hotel and spa on all the public parkland. as long as they leave a couple of swings to play on we should all be very grateful !!  |

Could they not sell it to a private company but put in some sort of covenant into the contract so that it would always be open to the public without any limitations ?
If that happened i wouldn't see any issue.
