The Wigan fans don't agree, there's a thread on their board about him. I thought he did well though, and the BBC pundits praised all the officials performance today.

I also thought he had a good game.... Wigan fans are calling him rottern on their board... It's not Benthams fault Wigan kicked at goal everytime he gave them a penalty.

apart from giving O'lauglin "his warning" for intereference, and then didnt follow it up when he penalised him about 10 minutes later.

The Wigan fans are blaming everything from Betham to the actual B.B.C. themselves....

Apart from Smith knock on before the Sam Tomkins (rightly) no try and the Farrell sin binning when he was already in the air.

Apart from those two I'd agree with you, although the Smith knock on should have been Gansons call, but Bentham I think only asked for the grounding.

Either way it should have been a scrum with head and feed to Wigan and not a turnover.

Missed the disallowed try but the sin binning was right. Although Farrell was already in the air, he virtually backed into the fullback and made no attempt to charge the ball down.

I would also add that the ref got it wrong when he "warned" O'Laughlin for interference and then took no further action when he did it again 10 minutes later or the laughable knock-on he game to Wigan when the ball clearly went about 4 feet backwards.

If anything Bentham kept the pies in it .. There was a disgraceful call where McGuire knocked the ball backwards 10 yards out. They still couldn't string a pass together & passed to Ryan Hall.

i agree .. people are talking about the senior decision being intent.. but it was an accident hence his reaction afterwards.. i agree bentham had a good game today..

Bentham was superb this afternoon.

Totally agree, Bentham had a great game today and got 90% of the decisions correct. Definately one of the better refs in the game today.

Very good performance from the referee.
If every game was ref'd to that standard i'd never have a complaint although some would still find something to moan at.
Smith and Alibert are the worst refs in this league by a long shot imo with Ganson being the best

Bentham was good. Normally I don't like him, but thought he had a decent game, certainly got a lot of praise from Kear

The officials still missed too many forward passes to me. Other than that I thought they got almost all of the calls right.
