| Well, it' s that time of year again.
What results are people expecting?
Which players to stand out?
Personally, I look forward to Origin each year. Never a bad game and plenty of biff as well.
Craig Bellamy has got the ball rolling already rlhttp://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,27150926-5018993,00.htmlrl

| In game 1 a lot revolves around how fit both Cameron Smith and Jonathon Thurston are, both won`t be as fit as you would like them to be going into an Origin game, Smith is having a late fitness test from what ive read.
Timana Tahu limped off at the end of the Manly v Eels game so he has to be a doubt, even if he makes it the injury has to be in his mind.
From the squad they have picked i would have gambled and gone with Idris ahead of Tahu, i`m not convinced with the NSW three quarters thats been picked. Matt Cooper isn`t the force these days that he once was in attack, he`s probably on for his defence against the big Queensland backline. I think Hayne should be at full back as he`s far more dangerous at returning the ball than Gidley, he would make better yardage. The NSW pack looks decent but the backline doesn`t, Kimmorley is a plus though.

| Having 2 games in Sydney is going to help NSW, they must win that first game. If they go 1-0 down i dont see them going up to Queensland and getting a result. Hopefully NSW can do it, but i just dont see it, the Maroons are far too strong. Cant wait for it though, although watching it on tv just isnt the same...

do you rate idris that highly? i still can't make my mind up over him. he did give tahu (i think) the run around a couple of weeks ago though, so can see what you're saying. i think he will be good when he matures but he doesn't do it all thru the game. i don't think he'll be in the aussie selectors thoughts......yet.

Not really, i`d just prefer him over Tahu. Idris can do some good things but he can be as ropey as sin at times. I`d take Michael Jennings over the pair of them.

Does anyone know if they will be repeating it for those of us how will unfortunately be at work at half ten in the morning?
ETA: They are repeating it on Wednesday evening at 6:30pm on SS1 or at 9pm on SS2, highlights only though as it's only on for sixty minutes.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

Pop down to Wigan, it's quality watching on a huge screen with some aussie guy getting really stressed rather than enjoying the game

Should be a quality series, I think Queensland will win 2-1 despite the two away matches.
The usual suspects will stand out, and from the newcomers Jamal Idris and Dave Taylor will be the ones to watch.
I expect to see major changes to the NSW side after game one, their backline selection leaves a lot to be desired.
