Can anyone help me out please?
I'm looking for a decent function room to hire for my old mans 60th in September
I can't imagine there'll be more than 60-80 people so it doesn't have to be huge. We deffinatley need some outside space and ideally cheap/not overpriced beer. I'm thinking of putting a small disco/band on so could do with a bit of space for that and I'm open to suggestions for the buffet. Location wise I'm not too bothered but WA4, Orford or central would probably work best.
Any help, good/bad experiences very much appreciated.

i'll second that kings club had my 40th there and many others fitsn 100 in cosy

Roosters holds about 100 but wont look empty with the 60 people, It's next to Bank Quay Social Club, been there for a few partys.

Held my folks Ruby Wedding Do at Rylands - certainly did the trick and the bar was great. Good spread put on by them too.

I knew it was worth putting a call out on here, some good suggestions so far. Thanks alot.

Alford Hall formerly Thames Board club. Downstairs is a good size for that number of people.

St Ste's in Orford is good, also if you want a deal on balloon decorations, table displays or just a few happy 60th foil helium, pm me and I can sort you out, much cheaper than the shops.

if you want a band on then Rylands Hall or upstairs at Alford hall have a good size of stage. Kings club wont even fit a drum kit on their stage and downstairs at alford hall does not have much room for DJ or a band with a lot of equipment . Roosters is also a decent size stage and a good venue

Has anyone been to or organised a private function at Warrington sports club in walton ?
It's just that my sister quite like that as a possibility.

Crosfields got function room with a bar and loads of space outside....with a balcony too

Both, and would recomend it - the food is good, you can choose traditional cold or hot (hotpot, curry, hogroast etc), pretty much whatever you want.

The room isn't massive, but easily big enough for 60-80, and there is a stage which is good for a band or DJ.

Outside there is loads of space, and plenty of wooden tables etc- always a good selection of ales.

They have some do's there in a big marquee, might be an option

Free hire (£50 returned deposit if nothing broken), bar, stage at the end for band etc, quite spacious and onsite parking etc

has a noise reduction machine built in due to moaning neighbours, not really good if you want a band on
