hi, i'm a wigan fan from n.ireland and i am coming over in 2 weeks for the match, could someone tell me how close the train station is to the ground and where is good for a pint or six before the game

Central station is a 30 second walk away and if you're on the train from Liverpool or Manchester you'll be getting off there. There's about six or seven pubs within that 30 second walk too so enjoy!

Central Station is literally about 300 Yards away from the Stadium. Bank Quay is the other side of the town centre, about a 15 minute walk (Probably less).

Pubs - Plenty on your way to the ground, but The Lord Rodney & The Red Lion are right behind the East Stand and you'll pass them To/From the Stadium.

I know a lot of away fans used to drink in the three pigeons behind the away stand, tho im not sure if thats closed down or not.

I'm flying in from the Republic for the same game.

If you enjoy a good pint of real ale walk into the town centre and try the Lower Angel in Buttermarket Street.

Maybe an extra three minutes walk from the ground.

I'm flying OUT of the country on the morning of the game.

Lived in Ballycarry (little village up by Islandmagee) for the last 3 years before moving to Dubai.

My favourite watering hole was the Wind Rose bar on Carrickfergus Marina just up the road from you...!

hi i know Ballycarry,i used to play football for islandmagee,i also know the windrose though the foods not as goo as it used to be.

We go to Bank Quay every season, and I think it takes around 10/15 minutes to be honest and its just follow the road really, it isnt the hardest walk.
