Quote: wire-til-i-die "did they say they expect 100,000 fans to turn up for the parade on sunday, bloody hell i doubt it, also did doug hoyle say that the club had sold 20,000 tickets, dint really hear proper'"
Douggie did say over 20,000 tickets sold, club were last week predicting 25,000 fans following team to Wembley but I have also heard around 15,000 ticket sales so lets just say there will be somewhere between 15-25,000 Warrington fans at Wembley on Saturday - I think it is a pretty fair bet that every other person in the ground will be supporting the Giants who have still sold less than their initial 10,000 allocation.
In relation to 100,000 lining the streets I suspect that was a little hype from our roving reporter who over heard me saying that in 1974 a reported 100,000 took to the streets to welcome back the winning team.
I doubt it will be anywhere near that this time win or lose.
Bank holiday weekend and a lot of people are still on their jollies or will still be making a weekend of it down in London.
There was about 1,200 seeing off the team today.
