I have always been a fan of Chris, even in the early days when few on here doubted if he would make it.

His performances are becoming more and more assured as he gains more experience. His defensive ability / decision making is improving no end - the chase and textbook tackle on Greenshields on Saturday was stunning and his try was no easy run in.

I would like to see Carney in the P&B at some point but hopefully not at the expense of Riley.

I'm with Latchy on this one. I just get the feeling that TS doesn't rate Riley as high as some on here do. He's a decent player but reminds me a little of Ian Hardman when he broke in the Saints side. Some great performances but mistakes letting him down so he was just not quite good enough to hold a place in a side that has ambitions to be the very best.

i think carney will get a run out very soon,i know people are playing well but they may have 1 or 2 knocks so are due a rest and we need to get carney up to speed and in some kind of form if we are to use him later in the season. i think it will be king and riley on the left for sunday with carney on the bench and at sum in the game point swap with riley or riley to fb and mathers in at halfs.

Personally i would play Carney in the reserves for one week and put him out against Celtic.

I think Grix or Mathers will play half back this week leaving space for both Carney and Riley. The decision will come when Briers is fit to play.

i think riley may well drop to the bench,he hasn't done anything wrong and a bit of competition should bring the best out of them both.

dont think he will change it to much to start with,monas/grix half back king /riley left.maybe monas at hooker sum point and mathers in the halfs if the score board allows it?or maybe just riley out carney in?he could just go same as last week?over to you mr smith
