Cheshire Cats RLFC played their first game at a wet and windy Lymm RFC on Sunday. A professional, mature performance saw them win 26-4.
Tries from Bridle, Reardon, Butler (2) and a classic 40m dazzling run from Kane Sullivan, who’s Father Anthony would have been proud of scoring. Goals were from Sullivan & Reardon.
A heavy rain storm part way through the game made the already difficult conditions worse, however the efforts on show delighted Head of Coaching Ben Povey who commented “we are all proud of the boys’ performance, the conditions were very hard to play in and we stuck to the game plan and executed with very little in way of errors. It was our first game as a team and we looked good on the ball and defended strongly.”
The Cats next game is Telford at Lymm on 31st May. More information will be on www.cheshirecatsrl.co.uk.
Nb - Thanks goes to Mr McCabe for Officiating the game and Milly for taking the pictures

12937_1277989655.jpg We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die
The first ones in line for that pie-in-the-sky
And we're always the last when the cream is shared out

| Nice to see ex-Wires doing well for themselves in the game.
Seriously, though, brilliant to see the game develop beyond traditional strongholds, even within the borough limits.

We've had a good reception, theres a lot of union players trying the sport with a large section coming from out of town
