ISC are an Aussie company, so probably easier to get the initial batches over to them to do the photoshoot - plus good PR to have our England boys promoting the kit so two birds one stone

Small group of fans discuss kit in thread about discussing the kit shocker.

Discuss the kit all you like. But the descriptions of said kit are frankly akin to children throwing a paddy over the wrong flavour of ice cream. "Garbage" "Worst EVER" etc. It's juvenile.

Well I'm glad you've not in charge of marketing or income at the club, as it's ones of the main lines of revenue, which is why a lot of ppl in recent weeks were peeved as it didn't seem to be available in time for ppl Xmas shopping.

Now it's out, And it's not been well received. It's lost income. On top of I would imagine lower membership numbers following last year.

When I walked out of Pirates of the Caribbean 5 and proclaimed it was the worst one yet, my wife didn't berate me and say I was overreacting and being juvenile. Because I wasn't. It was a straightforward opinion I was giving on a relevant topic.

If people on here had said "This kit is so bad I'm buying one just to burn it in the street, along with my season ticket, because I refuse to watch them this year as long as they're wearing that kit" I'd agree with you that people are being juvenile and overreacting.

Totally agree, if i'm being expected to pay £48 for the latest replica shirt, i would like to see a bit of thought going into it for gods sake. If because of this lack of thought i choose not to buy then my club looses out on income.
Some of the ideas posted on here were really nice, why can the club marketing team not do the same.

The seemingly large percentage of people not liking these designs leads me to believe there were people at the club not liking them either. So the question is how on Earth do these designs get through design review let alone released as the offical kit?

We've had some very nice looking kits in recent years and these are a big step down for me, not helped by the big green sponsor. My biggest gripe about the home shirt is its just a bad version of the 2016 one (which I really liked) and a bit of a lazy effort. Looks a bit 'championshippy' too. I suppose the away one isn't too bad as it is just a simple no nonsense design, but the main sponsor is an eye sore.

Personally i was hoping for a traditional white one ala 2009 for example. Ah well.

We probably used brand/design consultants in the past - remember those that had to be bannished.

No matter how much money our club has or has not, we always appear to do things half d.

Quote: Fantastic Mr Catpiss "well,i had heard last year (and weirdly despite the club having more leaks than the titanic, its not been mentioned on here) apparently we had Under Armour lined up as a kit supplier for this year, which fell through very late on, and we went back to ISC who pulled something together at the last minute, which might explain the late(ish) delivery to the store.

It might also explain why these are clearly 2011 away with the yellow chevron removed, and the 2016 home with the white band removed.

For the list of good actions that the club have done in the off season, i think this is now a black mark.

Though, not surprisingly, you've got weapons on facebook saying that they love both kits. I don't remember being that blindly loyal to the club.'"

If the club came out and just said...look we've been shafted by the new supplier and we've had to knock these up in a day....
I'd back the club and buy a shirt...otherwise feck if I'll buy these without good reason, they are shat.

Good point. KF said at the forum last year that we were paying a lot of consultants and specialists instead of doing things themselves before he took over. It has shown on a few occasions. Even the launch the other night was a bit half d and cringeworthy. I'm all for saving a bit of cash but if you're rubbish at something it's better letting somebody who knows get on with it

It's not photoshopped. Kits were designed and confirmed ages ago. The issue was to do with missing a deadline for ordering them to get them for a certain date hence the delay in them being released. Someone did fook up.

Another example is the website. Never gets updated bar the news stories. I'm surprised the player heritage numbers are not published anywhere official for people to look at even though we go to the effort of putting them on all the player's shirts. I emailed the heritage officer asking where i could find them and he said he would like to get a page set up in the heritage section of the website at some point. That was over a year ago.

Has anyone ever bought a shirt because they thought they looked smart to wear on social occasions or because of comfort At the end of the day no matter how 'smart' the design, there is practically no use for them other than wearing at a match.
Surely nobody buys a polyester type sweaty body odour top as fashion wear?

Thank god the kits are not up to peoples liking. All the people on here that have had nothing to whinge about since the club turned the corner and got a new coaching set up and signed a number of decent players, can now have a good whinge.
Well done wire its horrible when people have to have a positive opinion.
People moaning about the colour of the sponsors logo is amazing. Do you think they vet potential sponsors by the logo colour.
" Sorry Coca Cola can we have your logo in primrose and blue? "no" well sorry you can stuff your £300k sponsorship !!!!!

I've seen some people wear them on holiday, special occasions and around town on non-matchdays, so they must be considered fashion / tribal wear.
