| Cup win for me personally, I understand why people would rather progress in the league, but Wigan being out has thrown it wide open, so i'd be keen to take advantage.

| Beat them in both and keep up the hoodoo. They'd say it doesn't phase them but I bet it really does.
But, if I had to choose, the league points. Wembley is a dull, lifeless, incredibly expensive and long day out now and we've done it often enough in recent years that it bears little appeal to me. Winning the cup now feels pretty small-time, there's only one game in town that I really give a stuff about and that's at Old Trafford in October.
... And I'd have Reinhard Heydrich at FB, he always got the job done.
Can Goering play prop?

| Before the season started i'd have said two points. A few weeks ago i'd have taken the cup as we look dog s*** but now after a few gritty wins against Saints & Leeds + our half back position sorted i'm back to thinking the league is more important. There is a feeling that Hull KR & Wigan are still miles ahead of us but anything can happen in a one off game plus the CC looks a touch easier now Wigan / one of the Hull teams and possibly Saints could be out after this weekend.

| Props take care of themselves. Goering and Rohm. Rohm would no doubt prefer to be loose forward at the back of the scrum but he’ll play where he’s told or the long knives are out. I’d personally have Goebbels and Hitler at 6/7 - Goebbels directing play. Himmler FB, Heydrich is a definite second row. Boorman hooker - tackle anything. Eichmann can take a wing spot…wiry and rangy.

| The title won't be in or out of reach if we win or lose the league game against Saints, so on that basis IF I had to pick one I'd beat them in the Cup QF

I would challenge with the following rationale: 1. The modern Super League title under this play off system is won by teams finishing #1 or #2. 2. We are already 4 league points (and 151 points difference) behind #1 Hull KR (we lost a wasteful home game against Wakefield already) 3. We missed out on 2nd place in the table last year by just 2 league points. Indeed if we had beaten Wigan instead of fielding the reserves we would have won the LLS. 4. To win a GF you have to be in it. Finish #1 or #2 are you are one home game from it, rather than a mission impossible to a rested Hull KR away having been battered in a game before.

I think Hitler would prefer a non-playing role away from the action, so I would picture him calling the shots in The Bunker. I'd give the loose forward role to Rommel, as the dirty work in rough ground up the middle would be very much his thing.

Happy for the challenge and history may prove you right once again, but there is a large chunk of ifs, buts and maybe's about your post. I'm not discounting the idea of taking the two points in the league off Wigan especially IF that meant we went onto win the LLS but it was always an IF, we may not have won and we didn't press home the psychological advantage of a hard fought defeat and the rest that the week off provided. Some teams thrive on being battle hardened and having momentum (I'm never comfortable with deciding which is best). Ideally, I'm not surrendering any game, but the real question is do you want to go all out to win the Challenge Cup or give yourself the best chance of finishing top 2. Lose on Sunday and as they say "we can concentrate on the league", that's an absolute certainty, lose the league game following it's a dent and one which we may recover from. It isn't binary. As far as the magic of the Cup being diminished is concerned that others have mentioned, that's a personal opinion, (rightly) no doubt based on previous visits to Wembley and Old Trafford and the glaring omission from our Trophy cabinet. I'm taking my two Grandsons to Wembley for the Test and I'm hoping that this won't be their first visit

| Yes all fair points Rico.
I think the chance of us winning SL after 70 years is already slim, the chance of us doing the double must therefore be approaching zero. Hence it's the 2 points for me. The GF is the prize I want to see before I die.
I *suspect* Sam, the Club, and players want a CC Final appearance as that seems to be enough to qualify for a "successful" season win or lose.
We will see.

Ha, Rohm, now that's a niche pick. But I understand the reference to being at the back of the scrum ha! Goebbels definitely the wiry little half back!
