Quite. I think some of our fans were expecting too much of Daryl. We were treated to arguably the most complete no.9 since
SL began in Monas. To expect a 22 year old to come in and control a game like he could was far too much to hope for. Like others have said, he is steadily improving and seems to be enjoying his rugby.

At times Monaghan was awesome, but in terms of overall impact you can't put him up with Cunningham, Roby, Newton, Lowes, even Diskin to some degree. Common factor - they all won GFs (multiple in some cases).

Played his best because Dwyer showed him up in my opinion, Dwyer in one game played 10 times better then Clark has all year.

I'm not having newton or diskin ahead of Monas don't care what they've won.

Interesting way of classifying a player by his medal haul. I suppose we would have to rate Ryan Bailey as the worlds best ever prop since he has won 6 GF's. And you would have to question Smiths sanity after we released Chris Riley with his 3 CC medals.

You don't need to look at medals to know Monaghan shouldn't be in the same sentence as many of the hookers mentioned - just use your eyes.

Many? I'll give you Roby and Cunningham but that's it. Monas was top drawer...streets ahead of diskin and newton and just ahead of lowes imo.

Lowes was much better. Newton was a better hooker at his best as well. Swain and Buderus to go with Roby and Cunningham also.
