That's probably why no one has.....but it seem's calling an NRL and Superleague grand finalist and lance todd winner is fair game .......can you see why it went this way.....???
back on topic Darryl Clark looks completely shot, he has no confidence its like the move is too big for him, he had a look on his face at half time that really worried me ...like a small kid on his first day at big school I knew he was never going to impose himself on the game.
It's a real shock he has been this bad............

Is he injured? His knee was strapped up. He needs time to develop as a player and create a way of playing that is beneficial for the side when the pack isn't making metres.

Why would a move from Cas to Warrington to be too big for him ? It's not like he's joined Saints or Wigan. He's gone from one club that have done nothing in donkey's to another that haven't been champions since The Queen was coronated.

When he was at Cas that's exactly what he did do, if our pack was struggling he came up with something that got us on the front foot again. That was the one part of his game that needed developing the least. He had instinct to do it. It looks to me like it's been taken away from him at Wire for some reason.

Longer minutes? Just an outsiders perspective.

| He's not bad. He's just been painfully nondescript. I'm honestly not sure why. Our inability to be up and leaving markers on the floor is definitely hindering his break game.

Maybe so. Giving him a rest and then bringing him back against tiring defences was when he was at his most effective around the PTB. Maybe he isn't being spelled in the game as much to take advantage of this. Wire fans who have watched him every week this season may be able to comment further.

| but you don't have to be on the front foot to have a go at dummy half running. I watch Mitch Reine do it for St George he's lethal at running from dummy half. It doesn't matter whether its following a barnstorming run or not, Sniff out the defenders not being switched on and have a go.
For Christs sake he can go past two big forwards at marker no matter how set they are Surely?
He doesn't even do what Monas (or keiron cunningham ) did so well and that's running at a bloke who isn't onside and pointing him out at the same time ...and this season there are plenty of those to aim at. He's not putting any doubt in to the oppositions mind and that's half the battle.....
he's so poor its quite sad............

Like I stated, if our pack was struggling Clarky came up with something himself that got us on the front foot. He didn't need the pack to be going forward. The times I have seen him this season that seems to have gone for whatever reason

| Was certainly a case of two steps back for Clark today, sadly. I'm not sure what the reason was, but young Dwyer looked sharp enough from the PTB so I don't think we can blame slowness/untidiness there.
Having said that, one thing that is increasingly getting my dander up is our our total surrender in the tackle. When you see other teams players hit the deck, they're positively breakdancing in an attempt to regain their feet. Ours look like they're settling down on the sofa to listen to The Archers over a hot chocolate.
I'm not a fan of seeing players throwing limbs around and flailing around like italian footballers as they attempt to regain their feet, and it often (Hello Wigan) veers into "played for and got" territory, but it does at least give the impression the team is agrressively trying to win control of the PTB.
Our PTB today made Jim Royle look like he'd been on double expressos. Can only think Daryl had nodded off once or twice as a result.

I just fear its down to the big money move...and with all due respect (and you aren't a saints fan so you'll take it in the manner its meant) at the present we are a bigger club, and I think He looks around the room and see's player's that have played in numerous challenge cups and grand finals and have finished top of the league and I think he just hasn't imposed himself on the squad.
I believe that translates to him not wanting to take over key plays during the game.... so he simply ships it to the halfbacks - who themselves are struggling- so we get a double bad play...
I wish he was an arrogant so and so and showed the belief that he's a man of steel and that he was hot last year. He should want to say "give me the ball and I'll show you what I can do, If you've got a set play going it can wait the play after I've tear d thirty metres up field..."

I think Chris Bridge might have been involved in the slowest ever tackle today they could have gone to adverts when he hit the deck.... A quick 118 add later and he'd just about be getting to his feet...
i did utter a swear word at the time............frustrating isn't the word...

It's true you are a bigger club than us, I have no argument with that. The confusing thing is that when he came off the bench for England he immediately took the defence on from dummy half with no thoughts as to any set plays that were planned, it was his instinct and immediately put Shenton in for a try. That was on the biggest stage of all, international. So he should be able to handle the move to a bigger club. Something just doesn't look right with his game this season. Maybe it's more to do with the big money and pressure on his shoulders rather than the players around him in the dressing room? He's a Cas lad and so I really want to see him do well. I hope he comes good and fulfils his potential.
