| Quote the tache is back="the tache is back"i actually think you are alright it's just when politics pop up on here in the past you have come across a bit sanctamoniously, not everyone maybe as fortunate as you no matter how hard they work for it,rather than concentrate on things like a choice of health provider why not comment on how lucky we are to have a national health service in this country,i have paid for private healthcare in the past, that saved me a 6 month wait for surgery but cost me a considerable sum.
why we contiually drum the nhs down in this country is beyond me after all if you get hurt in the home, workplace or on the roads it will be the nhs that comes in your hour of need not bupa.
if you think that the minimum wage is a bad idea then why don't you try to live on it then?
isn't our society all about helping individuals better themselves or helping the more unfortunates, the tory party have flown in the face of this during it's entire duration.
i live a comfortable life, nobody has given me anything i've not worked for but i wouldn't want to live it at the expense of somebody else.'"

Slavery Point - No. As the economy develops, people develop and have more choice. Enterprise then needs to pay more and more competitive wages to attract the right employees. The wealthier the employee, the more the economy develops and so on. This drives up the wage standard.
Pushed. No. As an egalitarian I should be class and background neutral but in truth I do actually prefer to see someone on the bones of their get on in the world and succeed more than I would someone born into more advantaged backgrounds. i.e) I respect Theo Paphitis (who came to this country with nothing) a hell of a lot more than Stelios (who was the son of a billionaire shipping magnate) for example.
Council House I support the ability for people to purchase their own property so long as the revenues generated by this are used to develop other council accomodation.

That's a lovely sentiment but in the real world that just doesn't happen. I seem to remember everbody's wages going up a lot when the minimum wage was brought in.

My personal view is that i would prefer a meritocracy it seems the most logical way of governance. What would your view be on that my good sir?

| Quote getdownmonkeyman="getdownmonkeyman"The BNP ideology of seperatism does tickle me though. We are as much a mongrel nation as any other, albeit with slight longer blood lines.'"
Their philosophy is that the ethnicity of our nation is fundamentally northern european caucasoids with more recent (last 500 years) being typically Christian in origin, so not at all mongrel. This nation was created over thousands of years of steady immigration. They just don't believe in recent (post 1950's) mass immigration from outside of that ethnic background as they believe it damages the fabric and culture of Englishness. Whilst I'm not a supporter, I do struggle to see much upside in the ethnic ghettos we have created in our cities and towns.
