Half the the users of this board would need to be banned to get it anywhere near how good it used to be. It used to be a pleasure to post on here. Unfortunatly, over the past 2 years, maybe more, its been swarmed by a gang of idiots.

I think a big problem with the forums (in general) is the difference in humour. I might post something intended to be funny which Norvern Soul would understand because we are good friends. Somebody else might take offence. There is so much scope for people to find harmless posts' offensive or vice versa i think this is reflected in people's responses.

Specifically in terms of this board i think potentially most of the reasons why the forum is "bad" is the form of you guys. Virtually every thread descends into a King/Monaghan/Briers/Cullen type argument amongst people who are on either sides of the fence. Most, if not all, of these types of threads would disappear if form was consistent.

Personally, i read this forum all the time as i go to Warrington games and know a few of the posters and generally it is quite entertaining to read both in terms of comedy and decent discussion. It is by no means the worst out of the SL forums.

I love the cliques. I am a member of the best one but some of the others are awful, particularly that Amateur Players from the 90s one.

I'm a great beleiver that there should be a mix of debate & the lighter side. There should always be room for fun, as well as the back & forth stuff on the technical side, or player opinion.

I'd hate this to become an area that just becomes a race to be the first to link the newest Wolves or Guardian article. If you do that, at least offer an opinion on it that we can talk about.

Mods do a great job generally, but if being an & posting ill informed nonesence ain't against the rules then their hands are tied. I agree that some of the stuff should be sent to other places (Jade to the Bin, Hillsborough to other sports for eg.).

I used to really enjoy posting on here, having a bit of banter and talking about RL.

Now, I don't enjoy it as much. The plentiful RL discussions have been replaced with daft O/T threads, people flinging personal insults at others, silly arguments breaking out, and people nitpicking at others spelling and grammar.

I've not posted as much as I usually do, mainly due to this reason but also for the fact that I have a pathetic mobile broadband internet connection.

I don't tend to bring up ancient threads though. In fact, I don't remember a time when I ever did that. Feel free, to back that up with proof though.
