I genuinely can't see McGuire being this stupid to do the same thing again, unless he wants out, but again i can't see him trying to leave in this way.
Clark is leaving because Saints is the best option to win things. This is his 9th year with us and has 1 challenge cup win, i don't blame him what so ever for wanting to move on, throwing x amount of money at him now isn't going to change anything at all.
As for our performances, the main thing is we aren't consistant at playing for the full 80. To play like we did the first half then end up folding the way we did is bizzarre. We need an aggressive Tank of a prop adding, and a strike centre immediately. Not having Kasiano for this game was a big loss, Lucas Green must be getting fed up with is 8 minute stints, i's personally be demoralised by Powells lack of confidence with him.

The last thing we need is another tank of a prop... It would be nice but seriously not essential.. we desperately need the right side of that team straightening out with a second rower and a centre ( at least second rower) as it's a turnstile in defence and offers no go forward ...if McGuire is punted and already without Nicholson the options available are already gone there

Defence is a persistent problem with the Wire.Too many teams march us down field to our own line then we are left with too much to do on our tackle sets.

Yup, that's the talk amongst the players too. You can see in his body language he isn't fully committed. He's meant to be looking through every possible loophole to get released. We don't need a full back. Thewlis first choice, Ashton back up, Ratchford third choice (and there may be another in the academy).

Losing 3 overseas players in half a season is some ruddy going. Thewlis is a class act so him going to FB is not a downgrade at all.

I suppose you can’t legislate for homesickness but KFP likes to bang on about all the due diligence he does for signings and it’s clearly not diligent enough. Whole transfer approach needs to change and KFP needs his marching orders ASAP*. No idea what the board see in him.

Ratchford unfortunately will be too old for next season ... Ashton an out an out winger and I like Josh but susceptible under the high ball when he's given the chance ... So would prefer him on the wing also ... But we should pursue British options from here on in if this is now the norm of Warringtons overseas recruitment

Ashton isn't an out an out winger, he arrived at the club as a fullback. He has developed into a top class winger, but he was just as impressive in his early days with us playing at fullback.

And there’s nothing unfortunate about Ratchford getting older, the quicker he retires the better.
