| Quote: moving on... "What is the right way then? sitting down/standing (whichever it is you do) might be your idea of the right support but not to others. What makes your way the right way?
Killing the fun as in the fun atmosphere we used to have. Instead of the library we have now. We're almost as bad as old trafford'"
not allowing swearing, threatening behavior, shouting abuse and blocking the walkways isnt 'my way'.... its the clubs way and its the law.
Thats what makes it the right way.
Its really not that difficult to understand.

Chaz, that really is beneath you!!
Meanwhile over on the Turkey, their "This Sunday" thread has turned into 'debate' nearly as long as this one about whether its acceptable to wear a jester hat along the lines of " jester hats!! what next, drums? we're classy Salford not mongy Warrington"
You just couldn't make it up. May I suggest that we all get a grip? Afterall, we don't want the 'classy' Salford fans laughing at our painted faces

Very good, it really is beneath me.
I also saw the 'jester hat debate' on the other channel and was having a quiet laugh to myself, and then I remembered a fashion thread on here last year................

I would suggest that instead of drums we have a String Quartet. Absolute class.

| Flutes, we definitely need more flutes maybe even an Aeolian harp.

| I don't think it went down very well.
I have to say that I quite enjoy the drums, but it looks as though I am in a minority of one. What I hate is the music from the loudspeakers, it drowns out everything. It means nobody on the field can benefit from my coaching remarks, sometimes it is so loud even the guy standing next to me is unable to hear my accumulated wisdom on the finer points of rugby league.
I do enjoy the chanting, but it only seems to kick off now when we play Wigan ( "we can see you sneaking out... We can see- eeh you sneaking out"icon_wink.gif or Saints. I think to be honest we have all got a bit lazy and couldn't be bothered to chant anymore.

Even though I joined in that particular howler of a thread, in my defence my offerings were tongue in cheek.
You are better off having a quiet laugh over there, as there are some funny flockers on the turkey board. They call us "mongy" you respond then they call you "smug"...God help us if they start winning and if they do please not "This Sunday"

This is what we have been missing.
instead of BARMY ARMY we could have the MERRY MEN.. bringing you such songs as
'you're going home in a horse drawn carriage'
'the famous wigan rugby went to camelot to see king arthur'
'when i was just a little urchin'

"Three cheers for the harpsichord and flute...hip hoorah"
That will show those rapscallion opposition supporters
