I have no opinion either way about the good doctor, but any publicity about our great game is better than none at all .

Read his press conference comments, I don't care about the salary cap I'll just pay the fine to brake it I think his words was, many more but if like me you have respect for the RFL and the way rugby league is run in this country you would not take the out if it, (in my opinion) my last post summed him up, you may like him I don't. He's certainly got a mouth on him, which honestly is fine by me, but his team has to back it up on the field, and I hope for his sake (and the compeitions) that they do. Otherwise he's going to look like a right twonk.

His press conference managed to make all of the broadsheets, has any preseason conference ever managed to achieve that except for maybe Wigan, Saints or Leeds? In fact, I have had to check this is the wire forum and not scarlet turkey at times over the past few months.

Listening to GMR last night you could tell that despite his very public opinions towards the RFL, there was still a great deal of mutual respect and comradery between him and Rimmer.

And by the way, Koukash tweeted last week "the RFL have been to Salford and everything is fine" At the start Koukash seemed frustrated with a cap he in his own words knew nothing about before buying Salford. The whole "ill break the cap" speech was to me born out of frustration.

We haven't broke the cap and I very much doubt we will!

MUTUAL RESPECT AND COMARARDARY BETWEEN HIM AND RIMMER

The RFL know that if they drive Koukash out of the sport the chances of getting another rich buisness man with that kind off money would be slim.

It's a bit like tax evasion and avoidance. You create something like a salary cap and brighter, more highly paid lawyers will always find ways around. Close a loophole and they will just find another. Most clubs will have been exploiting loopholes for years and that will never change.

Well ,the good doctor has stated on sportinglife that he is going to approach the RL about allowing Salford to breach the cap so he can bring in a special player to complete his squad.
I wouldn't be surprised if he has designs on gazumping Baarrth to Sam Burgess's signature who obviously is looking over the sea to Blighty if the money is right.

a) new Sky deal (on which, I do agree with him. RFL were too hasty)

c) Swinton

That might have somthing to do with the marquee player rule that the RFL sound keen on?
