| The injuries and slow decline in Clark's form has been sad to see as he is one of the most consistent performers we have had and is probably underrated in the context of all time Wire players. He has given us the best part of a decade as a genuine top SL player. I do think that like with Chris Hill, staying with us during his prime years has meant he's missed out a bit when he could have gone to the NRL and been a real megastar.
If he goes to Saints he could have some late career success and pick up the SL ring that he deserved with us, so good luck to him. I could even find myself rooting for Saints in a Grand Final if Clark was there.

| Walker has the brain of a scrum half, as well as being the form hooker at the moment. He’s a typical Powell Man of Steel project, and hopefully that will bear fruit in the near future.

| Ever since his Scrappy Doo style attack on Hill I’ve liked Walker (hence me picking him as my “one to watch” this season).

| If Clark does leave at the end of the season then it will be a shame that he could leave with just one challenge cup medal. With the resources that has been available at this club for the last 9 years that is pretty poor.
Good luck to him wherever he ends up.
With regards to Danny Walker I think there is more to come from him. Looks like he needs to take a bit more control of how we play so that he can play what is in front of him. There has been times in recent games where he has been pointing at retreating defenders with a view to another carry from a forward but then had the call from William's/ drinkwater for the shift play. I think as time goes by he will have the confidence to sometimes dictate how we play a bit more a bit like Monaghan used to do - easier to do when there are plenty of willing forwards on the pitch.

| I like Walker but he really needs to improve his passing from dummy half, it was pretty shoddy against Saints. He gets that sorted then he's got all the tools.

| Just my opinion but I think Walker’s passing is far better than Clark’s. It’s faster and longer. You rarely see a long pass from Clark.

| Clark has never had a decent passing game, not that he’s needed it. I wouldn’t say Walker’s is up there with Cameron Smith but he’s not bad in that area. And with Powell developing him I’m sure it will get better.

I think Walker is a more rounded player than Clark but less devastating in terms of his running game. On balance I think Walker could develop into the better player but Clark has been immense for us for years. One of my favourite players since he's been here.
In terms of Walker's passing, I think it's pretty good but he needs to develop more disguise in terms of direction of pass. At the moment there's a big foot plant indicating direction.

| I know I am a gold member in the DW fan club but I think there is plenty of deception from him at DH. He will often set up to pass one way then switch to the other to make sure the defence on both sides of the play the ball are worked. This is only usually the case when it is a straight forward carry.
When it is a shift play or is on the last tackle the half wants the ball as quick as possible and therefore the ball is often passed straight from the floor so dont want to lose a precious split second trying to pretend to go the other way.
So I think there is deception just not when the half wants the ball played quickly to them straight from the floor

| Plenty of positive comments in this thread for Danny Walker….not so much for Daryl on Redvee. Saddened not happy.

| Roby is irreplaceable but they’re probably getting the best of what is possible for them to get at this moment. Clark is better than Leeming so I think they’ve dodged a bullet there. Just hoping Wigan waste a shedload of cash on Thompson now.

One poster claimed that Clark is moving there to hopefully win something before he retires. 2019 has been eradicated from their minds!

| Yes he’s going there just to win trophies and nothing to do with money as Saints would not break their communist pay structure (laughable that fairytale is). Turning down testimonial money and asking for marquee wages but going to play for Saints for merely the love of rugby league, some pork scratchings and free double glazing.

| I don't blame him for going there to win trophies, historically he has a much better chance of Winning there than staying here.
But hopefully this year is the start of changing all of that.
