| From the halfway line I couldn't even hear the drums, or the singing from the supporters with them. Possibly time for people to abandon the drums so that they can stand and sing where they want, rather than being way over near the East Stand.
As a lot of my friends were on holiday, I had some other people around who got on my nerves including the guy who kept saying "not good enough" for Chris Riley, how can he say that when he's one of our top scorers.
Pre game music: It's good to have some build up music, but it's not needed right up until the players come out. The players come out and then there's more music, which isn't needed as the crowd should be making the noise and the players hearing it. It just doesn't allow the crowd to get the atmosphere going.
Try music: Another area where you want the players to hear the crowd, on away games there's no try music for us of course, and because of that it's better. Playing the same try scoring music as well starts becoming boring.
The constant moaning about the ref: It got a bit much on Sunday, on most plays of the ball the crowd were shouting for offside. Actually shout when you can see that players aren't getting back to the line.
Half time music/entertainment: The kids matches are the best entertainment, and it allows youngsters to play at The HJ.
Full Time: Takin' Care Of Business is better than playing Paradise, which is slow to play as a victory song. Is This the Way to Amarillo was good at the time a few years back. And stop the announcer from saying"As they approach the South/East/North Stand make some noise etc."

| The shouts of 'offside' may actually be good news. Maybe we've got a few disaffected Saints or Widnes fans watching us. Come on Saddened, you know it makes sense.

I think we will win him over in the end, he must be sick to death of waiting for that cladding.

Maybe because as mentioned before there aren't that may of them, the idea is for them to start attracting people over? If where you were stood was full of people making stupid comments and annoying you then why don't you move over to them and start something positive like they are trying to do?

| Quote ="latchfordbob"If it's who I think it is, I'm sure he goes to games on his own. Someone should bring a air horn and let it off right behind him every time he whistles.
All my other bugbears about atmosphere have already had a mention.
Pre game music: Way too loud and goes on for too long. Walking past the speakers on the way in is horrible. They've cut the music short a couple of times, notably at the Leeds Play Off game in 2011 and it works.
Try music: What's the point? It kills the atmosphere dead. As a kid, I could hear the roar of the crowd from my house when a try was scored; followed by Wires, Wires or oh Wary Wary. 'Celebrate Good Times'? on Sunday. Were they expecting people to join in? At least people join in with our own version of Tom Hark.
The constant moaning about the ref: No matter how much you shout Gerromonside, it's not going to change anything. Especially when the margins are fine. If someone is obviously offside, then fair enough. In fact, I'd go as far as to say, most of the people who stand near me, don't know half the rules of Rugby League.
Half time music/entertainment: When they play music it's way too loud. Half time is a chance to talk to your mates. Going to the game is about the social side as much as it is about the game itself. It's good to see they've got rid of half time dancing to ear splitting music. It's great watching some of the mini games. Seeing a 6 year old kid weave his way through a defence to score a try, past a kid picking his nose is great stuff. Half time kicking competition are always good for a laugh as well.
Full Time: Coldplay. Jesus Wept. Good tactic for getting me out of the ground though.
Atmosphere need to be spontaneous. Anything that is contrived will fail.'"
Good post.
