How can we justify not recalling Luis Johnson and resting Livett out until next season?
Livett is gone for me. He shouldn't have kept someone fit out of the Wembley game and he's played no better since.
It's a matter of player welfare as well as form...he's shot for me.
Agree with you that Johnson deserved to keep the shirt with there being an opportunity to see more of him against Saints.
Is Livett carrying a bad injury, RD?
It worked for Saints last Saturday, so why not.
I'll pass your advice on to Steve while you seem to know more about the game than everyone else put together.
Looking towards the semi-final I would expect the team that Price would like to put out is the same one that beat Wigan in the Challenge Cup semi with the exception of Atkins coming in at the expense of Livett. The problem is that Lineham is relying on a successful appeal whilst K Brown and Murdoch-Masila are both suffering from reoccurrences of injuries that have troubled them in recent weeks (aside from all the other players carrying injuries which we do not know about). We have ridden our luck with a small playing squad this season and, for the most part, is has been a success (I think that we'd have all taken fourth and a Wembley appearance at the start of the year). We go into the semi having played two more games than Saints (CC preliminary round + final). I have no doubt that our players will give their all, but they have a big ask ahead of them.
