I have not heard the Kallum Watkins return home rumour for a while. I think he has the same estate agent as Kevin Sinfield who can't close a deal on that gaff opposite Warrington golf club.

I don't think either Kyle Eastmond or Jordan Turner are anywhere near an Andrew Johns type signing IMO.

If that was reference to me, I'm sure I said something along the lines of 'it'll be an Andrews Johns type of press release' not that type of player!?

I wonder which way this rubber duckie rumour will end up,

a) we make a so-so signing, and duckie claims this as his big name scoop while we all go "oh...ok then"

b) duckie claims the deal with this superstar was all ready to go but then at the last minute the player changed his mind/someone else came in with a higher bid

c) Gary Wheeler re signs

Jordan turner is utter cack.

Some talks faulter Sally Cinn but most generally don't.
I said a couple of months ago we are after buying a "so called" 3/4, a prop and a half.
Well since then the secret centre is done and Sims is off even though he wanted to stay and Gidley is off, all not confirmed but, I'm telling you, you can wait till you read it in the Guardian.

I get a feeling there maybe reconsideration on a half now ours are looking promising and seemingly Williams has given you a Sally the reason to question my post as BS.
With a rumour you can take it or leave it, I honestly don't care either way.

I often wonder where these folk have 'heard' all these rumours. Perhaps voices in their own heads...

THE HOOF

Well, the club need at least one big name signing so it doesn't sound unreasonable surely ?

Using my investigative skills learned from watching many episodes of Midsommer Murders I agree it could be Kyle Eastmond.

- We need a centre. Rhys has not quite hit the spot with his attacking game and there were rumours that his contract would not be extended. And Atkins has been brilliant this year but he aint getting any younger.

- There were rumours of Wire discussions with Eastmond 18 months - 2 years ago.

- The recent RFL rules allow for a player returning from RU to get a 50% dispensation from the salary cap. That would knock Eastmond's salary back to about £150k and still allow us to bring in another big name. The three clubs that spoke up for the rule changes btw were Wigan, Salford and Wire. And of course we know the guy in the RFL who drafted the proposals fairly well. I think we will also get a dispensation for the signing of Taylor Prell next year.
