Probably because some people only remember the main parts of the game such as who scored the tries were as other people will notice players like grix who helps to create the tries and westwood who gets through loads of work. Thats why alot of people don't like clarke i believe as he doesn't come up with that flashy move that monaghan or higham may come up with.

Thats' why when we have both Higham and Monas fit, i would like to see Clarke in the pack

Don't get me wrong flashy moves are what we go to see and is what makes RL so exciting. But a whole squad of these types of players just doesn't work. Thank goodness for the grafters like Grix, Harrison, Westwood and co who get us in the position for the flashy guys to do their stuff and keep the opposition at bay.

how is nobody mentioning his defence... for me yesterday, the right side looked considerable stronger without briers and grix in his place, some of his shots and contact is outstanding! i am not saying he is a replacement for briers but that he held his own and did a great job for us in getting a result while allowing briers to be rested alongside harrison!
it must be hard getting his position changed from week to week so to abapt as he does i tip my cap to him!

Back on track, Grix is a solid, dependable, versatile player. Every SQUAD needs them. We cannot have "marquee" players in every position, or fans from other clubs will accuse us of breaking the salary cap.

He's nothing special in any position but that fact that he can do a job in almost all positions actually (ironically) makes him a special player.
