| What a dreadful side Saints are and wonderful to see how many of them turned up today knowing they were getting beat. Worst gathering/performance from them in over 20 years…..beautiful to see.

| Won at a canter. Never really in doubt, they didn’t really look like scoring despite having quite a bit of field position. They can say what they like about injuries, but Walmsley, Matautia and Bachelor let them down the most, the kids did a decent job for them.
They did an effective job on slowing the game down, but it was mind numbingly slow. Kendall didn’t help it, but we knew that on the way in.
Excellent performances from Currie, King and Musgrove. Bateman was physical, if unspectacular. Williams was off on his execution, but we had enough gears to go through if we ever needed it.
The resilience to keep them scoreless, including a last ditched effort from CTW, is just superb to see. Un-Warrington-like.

| Despite what saints might think I believe they’re in trouble for a while. Feldt is a good signing as are sailor and Murphy (potentially) but their succession planning has been excellent for two decades and it now looks as ropey as their youngsters. If they think Briers has the answers good luck to em.

| It was a tight game from both sides, I would have liked to have seen a couple of off loads later on for our broken play speeders to take advantage of. How times change when our fans are complaining that we only beat Saints scoring two tries.

Huge job to turn them around, probably as big a task as Sam's for us. Saints biggest problem (apart from Wellens) is that so many of their key players are coming to the end of their careers. Walmsley looks done and dusted to me, he's been great for them but is now a shadow of what he was.

Exactly, take the two points and the positives, and for me there were plenty to be had considering we were missing our starting props and our top strike player.
In no particular order, great balance at hooker whether it's either one on or both, Currie's hands Williams putting in a shift tackling, Bateman improving week on week, Philbin and Musgrove ripping in, CTW's positional play safe hands and that running threat, Fitzgibbon looking like he's back, Ashton say no more and Yates grinning every time he put a tackle in.
Without wishing to jinx anything we look like a team and we are a team with a chance.

| Did Fitzgibbon come back on in the second half?
Also, agree with the above about Walmsley to a point, but we could see he was blowing after 14/15 minutes, Wellens mustn’t watch the same game. He drops it cold then walks opening the gap for Ashton to score. How he was on the field shows that bit of desperation, I think.

He was showered and changed at the final hooter although he didn"t look to be in any discomfort and was chatting and laughing with a couple of Saints players.

| Walmsley looks done, he looks like he can't be bothered, never mind unfit.
Welsby pulled out of contact on a couple of occasions as well, nowhere near fit.
Matautia got smashed lots today in defence roddy wasn't having any of it

| I know there's some complaint about us not putting a kicking on saints, I'll take that win, at this time of year, it's play off rugby. It's better win than most will give us credit for.
2 points, let's move on.

Yes i just wanted the 2 points today. Wasn't too bothered about the performance much because i felt this could have been a banana skin. Although i was surprised how easily Saints self destructed.
I thought our defence was excellent. Relentless in fact. Its the kind of defence that Saints used to grind out games against everybody a couple of years ago.

Fair comment if you happy for us to just be 3rd. Top 2 would be better and if HKR slip up at Leigh well for us we need to put at least 70 points on in our last 2 games.
Yes we are in a much better place than last season but what is wrong with wanting more. Oh my name Oliver Twist.

Yip that had all the hallmarks of them squeaking a win. Them lomax steps doing us. Their crowd not confident, half a side and then showing us up.

| Didn’t get out of first. Was wonderful to see Saints reduced to celebrating a bog standard cover tackle so enthusiastically whilst getting battered. Weird and hilarious.

| Really miss those snide & condescending posts from Saddened after a Wire v Saints game.
Not seen or heard from him, for a while on here or anywhere on RL Fans for that matter.
Hope he is OK and getting on with his life.

| There are many things I could note from the game itself, but one thing that sticks out to me over at least the past season, is that I think we have on balance, the two most equally skillful and mature wingers in SL currently. Ashton and Thewlis are certainly the most impressive duo we've had in a Warrington team perhaps ever. Both absolutely safe as houses defensively, both can and will create a break or try from absolutely nothing. Both fantastic bringing the ball away from their own line. Cannot fault either of them. To think Thewlis is only 22 - with the head he has on his shoulders now. Amazing.

As a duo hard to argue that but we have had some great wingers in our past.

We've always had one absolute belter. However the other side of the field has always had the clearly inferior winger on it. Today we have two almost perfect wingers week in week out.

| It’s that time of the season, where two points are two points. Wire did enough yesterday to keep Saints at bay. Who in my opinion were absolutely gash, too many individuals look band average players. Walmsley fantastic player he was, it’s now time he looked to move off the playing field. As most have said the two yellow cards were diabolical, both players Drinkwater and Ritson want to hang their heads in shame. Bateman looked very good his defensive game was solid but he was making some very good lines, in his attacking running game. Overall going to to play off rugby, Wire are looking in pretty good shape.

| Without wanting to go all 'coach speak', I thought it was interesting that we spent the last ten minutes more interested in being solid as a rock defensively, and enjoying really crunching Saints (fairly) when they tried to mount an attack, than we did in trying to pile on points. I would never want us to go full 'Huddersfield in the 2022 cup final', where they got a small lead and then stopped trying to score, but it can be a good attribute once you've got the game won (as we had at 16-2).

| It was a good win. Defensively we have looked really solid in the last few weeks. Apart from the dip in form after the Saints and Wigan game and then playing with 12 against Leigh and Saints we are only conceding single figures.
Bit of a worry with Fitzgibbon. He went off in the first half and was showered and changed by full time. Any news on him?
It is a bit of a shame that we didn't manage to stick another 2 or 3 tries on Saints just to put a little bit more pressure on Hull KR. I can't see them losing both of their 2 remaining games and even if they loose 1 we would have to make up about 60 points so now looks like a home play off game and if we win that then an away game at Craven Park. But you never know because both of their last 2 games are against teams desperate to get in the top 6.
Like Ben Currie said in his interview no trophies for beating Saints 3 times in a season but it is an amazing reversal of fortunes from the last couple of years.
