McGuire creates more line breaks for Leeds than the other two.
When Briers eventually does retire I think Myler will develop his all round game like McGuire has done and will be your main go to player, he is naturally very talented and would thrive on the extra responsibility. Briers is very demanding in terms of if he wants the ball he gets it.

The only thing is next year you will have Hodgson, he comes into the line often at 2nd receiver and plays a half backs roll. Myler may see the ball even less.

You definately won't need a ball playing LF.

Now 15 tries in 19 league games and 11 assists after the Wakey game

myler in my opinion is not ready for the big big game yet ,hes still very young .his defence is weak ,good support player but warrington have enough of them .smith should go with the older heads in the final ,wood higham anderson solamona bench for me ,clarke at 9 and monaghan at 7 for 20 mins same as the semi .

It's not though is it? It's more than adequate and he has knack of stealing the ball one on one. We don't have others in the team who can support up the middle as well as he can from that position.

He was targeted by Les Cats in Perpigan but bar that he has been fine. I could understand if you wanted to bring him of the bench but you are utterly stark raving mad to leave him out entirely.

Don't understand why he is a waste of a bench spot. Would be good to bring on towards the end of the game, when it becomes more broken. We would normally have a number nine on the bench, and this gives us the option to move the number nines around to freshen up the play the ball.

I don't understand how anyone can say he's been weak defensively. OK, if you compare him to Ben Westwood he's crap. Then again, Ben Westwood would be the world's worst scrum half. They beat us in Perpigan how could they not have been in the game? Smith even said on BBC after we played them in the semi that he kept Myler on the bench as they had targeted him in the league game.

Heard from a reliable source yesterday that Smith took Myler to one side in a training session this week and told him he wouldn't be in the 17 for the final, apparantley Myler broke down in tears.

Will be Monas at 7, Clarke & Higham with the hooking duties.

Gutted for the lad if this turns out to be correct. I personally think Myler can be a game breaker and any breaks or half breaks that are made, you know he'll be there to finish off.

Be gutted if he's left out. Deserves his place, Mickey Higham is awful.

this is all speculation at the moment but I had a feeling this might happen (IF it does)...gutted for him I really am...but this is a team game...no player is bigger than the team, and if TS thinks the best team to win the cup doesn't feature Myler, then so be it...he'll get his chance..either later this year in the play offs..or next year when we compete on all fronts again.

I know it was because Catalans got to him over in France that he dropped him to the bench but I don't think Myler has faced Leeds once this season due to injury so you can't make same case? I would of expected him to be at least on the bench.

If he is dropped then what would happen if we faced Leeds in the playoffs would he be dropped again?
