Leigh have 'made it big' folks...few years ago, if Wire were playing Leigh in the Cup.....probably be hardly any posts by Wolves fans on the game. Now a 'handful' of their fans are being really bitter, and can't wait to end our winning run, even though we are championship club, with only 1 overseas player (imagine that SL clubs

) and the rest of the squad, players that have been 'released' by Super League clubs, or NEVER even played in it. How many of our players would Warrington wish they had, compared to vice/versa. How many current international players do you lot have, think we have 2 scottish & 1 irish, might be wrong......or maybe one from the 'isle of man' ! WE are going to ENJOY our day, whatever the outcome. NO PRESSURE. If you thrash us, then so what.

Seems all has not been said has Smith expects Mick to play in the CCQF as the agreement isn't legally binding.

I'd hardly say a few posters on here being annoyed at how this debacle transpired and the majority wishing the mouthy Leigh fans that have popped up overnight would simmer down means you've "made it big".

But each to their own.

It's been far too long that Leigh have not been with the SL boys. We need them to encourage fans to join the ranks. SL with Wigan, Saints, Salford, Leigh, Widnes and Wire has got to be a better place. These are local rivalries some bigger than others but none the less rivalries. MH playing in the CCQF will bring a lot of interest and hopefully swell the crowd a little. The CCQF will be a great spectacle and it will be great to have Leigh with us in SL next season. Yeah they may have to be the whipping boys for a year (they may not be), but if they survive SL will be better for it.

I am sure Higham will be welcomed back by the fans chants

and his ex team mates on the pitch

should be a cracking atmosphere.

I am sure the time honoured 'Wire reject, Wire reject' will get an airing.

Its been a while

If Leigh have given their word not to play him then they won't..All boils down to what's in the agreement,but saying that if someone is unsure how legally binding the agreement is,why bother with one in the first place.

I believe Micky himself says he isn't willing to play against Wire.

Just left Mickey, says Wire are running scared so wont let him play ....................

And Leigh have proven to be fully trustworthy and professional recently haven't they.

It was an agreement made at the time of Signing him....

If we were running scared you'd think Beaumont would have wanted to mention that at the time, he could have tagged it on to the pop at the coaching staff. Instead he thanked Simon Moran for his professional attitude over the transfer.

Leigh played Hock after a similar Agreement and Koukash threatened to sue their backside off, So Why don't Leigh do the same with Higham, or have they gone all professional all of a sudden.

Leigh played Hock because they signed him as a free agent, they did not sign him from Salford and therefore had no agreement with Salford.

Apparently there was an termination agreement between Hock and Salford that had a clause that said "He could not play for Salford City Reds against Salford Red Devils"

Hock has honoured that agreement.



No doubt our legal eagle is looking for similar well written clauses in Higham's agreement.

In my opinion, the "Hock can't play against Salford" affair was a publicity stunt just to raise a bit more interest in the fixture. Kukash appears to be a bit of a fool on first look but the more I hear of him I think he's a clever man who is just trying to raise the profile of the sport.

Nothing allegedly about it. He was having a go at Tony Smith during half time. Some choice heated words were spoken. He had to be calmed down by Jack Dearden as he was doing co-commentary on Radio Manchester.

I was impressed with Brad tonight, I'm sure we all were. But let's not get carried away, he's no Micky Higham. He came on against a tiring Salford side. Don't get me wrong he made a statement tonight, but I'll reserve judgement until I see him start a game.
