| Everyone said Fitzgibbon was done and retiring after his did his shoulder the first time. Then he came back, fair enough it's a reoccurrence of the same injury, but doesn't mean it's a retirement injury.
If he's done for this season he's got around 5 months to have Surgery if needed and rehab. Or just 5 months to rehab and strengthen it again. Would have to wait until next year to see.

Burgess has just said it’s highly unlikely Fitzgibbon will play again this season. It does not look good for him and he as seen a consultant.

| He’s done! Gutted because he was a class act in all departments but confident the club will replace suitably.

| Dammit. He’s played his part for the club, even though he was only here for a short while. Let’s hope we can make it over the big line and dedicate it to him.

| Again doesn't mean he's done just because he's seen a consultant for an injury, it's common place. All rumour and speculation until either himself or the club say that's his career over.

| Abit of doom and gloom, not looking good but never say never until the club tell us.
Gutted for him but think we have really good cover and you can see why Bateman was brought in, clever move.
Up the wire!

| Oh how the mighty have fallen. Some over on Redvee would be happy to take Chris Hill on a 12 month contract at 37 years of age.

| Quote Warrington Wolves squad contract expiry dates
November 2024
Joe Philbin, Joe Bullock, Tom Whitehead, Sam Kasiano, Gil Dudson, Stefan Ratchford, Matt Dufty, Josh Drinkwater, Leon Hayes (OP), Josh Lynch (OP), Jake Thewlis (OP), Rodrick Tai (OP), Wesley Bruines (OP), Matty Russell, Adam Holroyd, Luke Thomas'"
So of that list as far as I know we still don't know about Whitehead, Lynch, Thewlis (Jake), or Bruines?
Guessing we will get a press release this week confirming what's happening with them ahead of the traditional end of last game farewell for Nicholson and Drinkwater (though we haven't had official confirmation on Drinkwater yet)?
Edit: Max Wood missing off that list, but think someone mentioned he's signed up for 2025?

Canberra have ended their interest in Walker due to us asking for a 'ridiculous' transfer fee.

He's young enough to wait two years and then try the NRL. Hopefully we'll have another homegrown replacement coming through the ranks by then, in Hartill.

Probably wouldn’t have had official notice about Nicholson either if it was for SB dropping a bollox.

In excess of £200k apparently.

As long as Walker is happy to stay is the key thing here, no point having a player with us who doesn’t want to be here. I’m assuming we’ve been able to play hardball on price as Walker is happy to stay, presumably to move for less next year or at the end of his deal. We don’t need the cash, would rather keep the player if the club feels he is part of the plans - which he obviously is.

| George King off to Huddersfield apparently, would take him over Bullock in a heartbeat.
i don't think we're even looking at a prop for next year though, as even if Bullock does move on, we have Vaughan, Harrison, Yates, Musgrove, philbin, Wood, Crowther, Okoro and Luke Thomas will be back next year.

| Good stance from the Club. Effectively telling Danny we won’t stand in your way if we get a decent offer, while telling the NRL don’t take us for mugs.
Probably we will start looking at replacements for next year as they will come knocking again with a year less on his contract.

George king of a couple of years ago, yes. This year's george king, he's barely featured in kr's good season this year. No one has took him on loan even though he's been available

I suppose that's why we've apparently signed George hirst, big bopper of a 2nd row. I wonder if We'll put faith in Holroyd next year. He'll be much better for the experience this year and a good off season and pre-season and he'll be better equipped physically next year as well

| I'd say we put faith in Holroyd ths year. But he's clearly behind Fitzgibbon, Nicholson, Bateman. And in terms of bench - Crowther, Philbin, Yates.

thats to be expected in a reserve, who we already know has played more than sam was expecting at the start of the year, though, 3 of the above you've mentioned dont play in the same position, and 2 wont be here next year, possibly 3.....

| I know the bench players are different positions, but assuming you have Powell/Walker as one interchange, then your other three are going to be middles or bullocking second rowers, not a Holroyd type, who for the record, I'd be happy to see starting second row next year.
