So how long does Tony Smith's untouchable period last then?... I am genuinely interested to know.
Like I say, I don't want to see him sacked, or see any campaign to oust him, but I'm just curious how many years 3 challenge cups (last of which was 3 years ago) actually earns a man, before people can openly question his PRESENT performance without being shouted down as some sort of knee-jerk reactionary??
I was simply stating that if the obvious decline continues at the present rate, by the end of the 2016 season, people might have to eventually wake up and stop believing that Smith is some type of demi-God.

A)You can see half back problems and Tony Smith can't. .
You'll forgive me if I side with Tony Smith I don't know your rugby league background. .Please tell us....
B)I'd have to agree a 22 year old player fresh from his only other club is stealing a living.....
Your not on I'll agree he's out of form but stealing a living no way. ..
There are probably more about Agar but seriously how can anyone know what an assistant does. ...when poaching left people said all he did was put the cones out. ....
So come on talk sensible rugby and not tittle tattle and i might agree with you.'"
To be honest I'm not asking for you to agree not belittle a point of view.
A) the half back problems needed to be addressed and haven't. If he does see it, then why doesn't he do something about it. At present trying Dec Patton could not possibly do any worse than we're doing at present. Again and in my opinion Smith seems a lot more disinterested than ever. Perhaps he's planning his exit route, hence Agar appointment. But you have to agree something radical needs doing at half back.
B) Clark was fairly open on his first interview with the comment about hope to win things in the two years I'm here. I know news signed for 4, but that's what he said. Be is playing completely disinterested and is at present is just doing what any other hooker would do, ship it on.
Again in my opinion if something drastic is not done we're in big trouble

Quite. The disaster is, the halfbacks Saints played today displayed a better kicking game than we have seen for a few weeks at Warrington.

Those are perfectly reasonable opinions. I don't know whether anything "drastic" needs to be done but playing injured/unfit players( Bridge) and out of position players (lots) needs to stop...
I don't know how good Patton is but given fans attitudes to inexperienced young English lads I would fear for him if he ever started slowly. ...

I can understand peoples frustration, but we need to be logical here. Currently Patton is playing for Crusaders, two levels below SL, and from what I can glean he is not dominating the play like a Danny Brough or Lee Briers. Asking him to step up and produce the goods at SL level looks a very tall order atm.
As for Clark, if he wants to play in the NRL and pick up a good wage, he needs to show he can produce the goods. A mediocre season in SL is not going to impress any NRL coaches. It therefore makes no sense for him to show a complete disdain for his current role, and furthermore would completely alienate the rest of the squad.

| Been looking for that interview Clark did in which he went on about the NRL without once bringing anything about his new club...can't for the love of me find it, i remember it bit can't find it.
The one striking thing with Clark is last year, watch his highlights, watch the games he played in...always a smile on his face, really enjoyed playing.
Looks miserable as sin here.

I have a few mates from Cas and they are texting me every week saying how much it kills them seeing us not use the lad properly, he really seems frustrated too.
Clark was arguably the player of the Four Nations, because he was allowed to play with that freedom which back in 2011 Tony Smith used to pontificate about each week. We are currently playing like a dull Richard Agar club.
