It,s dangerous to make one off comments after one match. After all we had 3 returning from injury and we're playing most of our juniors. And Leeds have an excellent set of backs capable of ripping any SL team apart. But, but, but, .....we are an average side and the table does not lie. What is more important to me is how we got here. A few seasons ago we had an old, but classy side. Smith seemed to excel with this group of players, because ( I believe) he is a great motivator of people. And with talented, experienced players his 'light touch' training techniques were ideal - those players already knew all the moves and what they should be doing. Fast forward to today and the squad is full of youngsters who need a lot more hands on. They have not played Origin or been to Finals before and need much more support - I think this is less Smith's forte, in fact my suspicion is that Moran has brought Agar in to cover this aspect of the coaching.
So I think there are two problems that have brought us to this current position;
1. A coach that is no longer the best option for a young squad and
2. Poor choice of player recruitment as our ageing stars have left and or retired.
We seem to have gone from the Pound Shop recruitment approach to the Pound Note style overnight. Suddenly there are lots of people being talked about and recruited. My guess is that Moran is behind this and has recognised that after two seasons of a very average Wire squad something drastic had to be done. If you think about SL now, there is no longer the 'big four', just the (usual) big three. We have dropped out of the top echelon. Let's hope that we start to move forward again last year on the back of some good recruitment this year.

| I agree w/o to a large point.
We were full of kids v Leeds and I expect a big turn around. We were always on for a hiding while Leeds chose to run with the trilogy...Sinfield Burrow and McGuire.
But what I find frustatingly hard to except was that performance V Hull KR. That shouldn't have happened as long as I've got a got a hole in my ass. We are much better than that. I make TS fully responsible for that defeat as I do the 2011 GF defeat. He saves bizarre structure changes and substitutions on the biggest of games.
I fully expect us to win our next game, with senior players returning and one less lazy prop in the equasion.
I'm still pretty damn peeved with TS and last Saturday.

Back on topic I remember John Monie saying that a coach only has a 5 or 6 year maximum lifespan at one club, and I tend to agree.'"
Why do people make stuff up like this on this site? It's always happening.
I mean, Myler was one of our stand out players when we had a good side and at the time he was a better half than Tomkins was when he played in the halves. But better player? Without it just being a bit of ribbing?

| Quote: Sir David Beckham "It's time to be brutally honest.
We are a very very poor side. Let's not make excuses and blame injuries / suspensions.
1. On paper, the side tonight would be an average championship team. At best.We don't have enough quality....end of.
2. If anyone tells me again that Ratchford should play full back......just watch the game over again tonight......clueless.
3. It's time we moved players on.....no room for sentiment...lets get them gone.
4. IMO....Asotasi,Atkins,Monoghan,Myler(Catalans) all need to go ASAP.
5. Ask yourself which of our current players would get in Leeds/Saints side and that shows how weak we are (prob Hill, Clark and Westwood)
6. We've done well since Agar came in lol'"
Re point 2 why don't you think ratchford is a full back? I thought he made 3/4 try saving tackles last night alone
which is a key fb attribute

| Ratchford is ok at fullback but, it's not his best position, prefer Russell there and ratchford further forward where he can do most damage , his link up play is a true gift ,personally is play him along side Sandow in halves

| I have never seen Myler as a better half as Sam T, had he have been so, I'm quite sure he would have been in the Dream Team at least once as a half.
I don't think he has even been short listed.
IMO the best half's we have had in the last two seasons have been Ratchford and Bridge. I'm loathed that TS never put them back as a pair ever since that green spell of wins last season. A season and a half later, the closest performance I've seen since that R&B period was v Castleford last month.

| Repetitive and boring, he is not going to be sacked and nor should he be. A very poor season in which the disruption from injuries has been a major factor. Young players have had to do more than was envisaged and the benefits of that will hopefully be seen next season.

Fully agree.
Sick and tired of us having to defend another set of 6 due to chargedowns.
It can work in the right circumstances but as a percentage play it's crap.

I can understand the play, 20 mins in, and we've established a 2 score lead, and we look dominant, but to use it when we're chasing the game with ages to go/game finely in the balance, it's complete muppetry, baring in mind, our side's not exactly greased lightening, to chase any such loose ball. We exploited it well in 10 and 11, but we had class all over the pitch. To do it now, is just asking for trouble, or, another set of 6 to defend.

| Anyone expecting a Wire win on Friday is well, deluded. What we should have expected is a performance from returning players and players on the fringes who have been drafted in to cover injuries. I would have expected a late 20's or early 30's score but not that. Sandows first game couldn't have been any tougher.
Playing with one prop and a beefed up second rower with young lad and a waste of oxygen off the bench is not what a big club or a successful club should be fielding. Its time for the club and TS to get it sorted. Good luck on Thursday, but it could signal the end of our season.
One further point, I am sick of hearing opposing fans singing the W**ky W**anky Warrington song and I hold TS and his team responsible for that.

| They've been singing that for a very long time. Nothing to do with this crop of players.
I think we ought to win v Cas because we have to and because we will be back at strength and we are a stronger team, that said, we also was against KR and that's why I'm finding it hard to let go.
It is do or die at Cas, loose there and a Hudds win, it's every minute takes the pea. All dead rubbers.

| We all know that the squad has been in gradual decline for years now... This season has been dead in the water since the lethargic showing against HKR... But the writing has been on the wall all season. gnashing our teeth after every defeat like this makes no difference.
We all know this squad isnt good enough.... we know it, Smith knows it, Moran knows it... The players know it.
I was very much in the 'Smith out' camp for most of the season... And while i have one foot still firmly in it, i think we will see him given a chance next season with this new batch of players that are being recruited.
If we dont recruit well in the forwards and look like a disjointed outfit again 6/8 games into next season then its time to part ways.
my opinion is that his best time at this club has been and gone.... He couldn't win the GF with that side in 2011, which was his best team i think.
Sometimes a coach just comes to his end of his time with a club.... Its not reflection of the coaches abilities.. it just happens. Things become stale on both sides and results suffer... It then benefits both parties to go their separate ways.
I would love him to turn it around next season and get us back at the top.. I wont be holding my breath though.

| Clear out now any player leaving at the end of the season. Play all the youngsters get them more experience ready for next year.
Play Ratch with Sandow see what happens, no performance this season now can be as bad as what we witnessed tonight.
