Good luck to him, done well getting what he wanted i guess, but im wondering is a better wage better than playing in Superleague.

He could be on better money as Leigh have ran at full cap for the last 3 years at least and he'll have less player high level competition for a big slice of that cap...fui fui moi moi turned down us and a handful of SL teams to join Leigh...I'm quite sure it wasn't charity.

There really isn't much between what clubs can offer a player between the top clubs on full cap other than the two marquees...so in the end, it comes down to the odd player sponsorship deals and/or the team with the greater prospects of playing in finals for bonuses that can make the difference.

We still need another hooker. So unless there is a cunning plan to convert someone we need to act soon.

Clark can have a break of 10 mins each half...Smith does a great job and will fill the void left by Dwyer...and was a preference choice over him for a spell too.

My point is that we need a third hooker. I'm OK with the two we've got but we need back up for injury.

That's the one area of the squad where we're weaker now than last season. That's a concern.

We've been making do the past couple of seasons with second rowers playing and fullbacks playing wing. Lets not do the same this season at 9.

He has only signed a 1 year deal with Leigh.

Wire wanted him for 2 years minimum, but apparently Canberra Raiders want him back in 2019, when they can fit his salary under the cap, having off-loaded players when their contracts expire.

Not to say I don't believe you because I haven't heard different...but Wire have been keen on short contracts ever since the contract with Myler...he was on top money for a long term.

From what I saw of Kurt in the World Cup, I'm not particularly fished that we didn't sign him.

Pundit John Davidson is saying that Steve Price is planning to use Dec Patton as dummy half this season. Makes sense if we are not signing a back up to Clark and Smith.
