Well, that's out of left field. Probably the first signing made in the past 5 years that has not been mentioned on here at least once.

Hopefully there are one or two more surprises to come. It's so much better that way then so called "in the knows" don't mention it. Must have something to do with their promise of "Won't say a word" whilst tapping the nose.

No-one saw this one coming. Tony Smith keeps his cards very close to his chest. I wouldn't even speculate whether there's anyone else to come.

Thinking about it for next year we have 11 players signed contract extensions, we've had Asotasi, England and Russell come in replacing Moz, Carvell & Brett. Tyke & Williams will be replaced by squad players being promoted along with Penny returning. All in all not bad and anything else in a bonus.
Anyone else heard Bridge to Widnes? It's only been mentioned to me by Widnes fans.

A young back, with speed, that can cover a couple of positions. Seems ideal for what we need. I said on another thread, I wouldn't be surprised to see Ratchford pop up at right centre a few times next year if Bridge can't find form. He'll definitely fill in for Briers as well IMO.

I think you must be still after a prop. It was on twitter a few days ago Sione Louisa from the NZ Warriors has knocked back an approach from Wire to stay in New Zealand.

From the clips I've seen, it wouldn't surprise me if he was being lined up to replace Mick Monas/Mickey Higham.

According to the Guardian he led the stats in line breaks, busts and metres gained in the NRL youth competition. He is 20 yrs old and is on his way back due to being homesick.

I think things are looking up. We've suddenly gained two backs with real pace and running ability (Russell & Penny). Athough we have got some very clever players I have thought for a while that we've lacked a bit of umph. Lovely jubbly!

Look forward to seeing the young lad, cant really remember him at the pies or hull so will reserve judgement until I have seen him in the flesh!

Don't really see him as a 9. In this 'video' he runs a lot out of dummy half but he clearly doesn't have the instincts of a hooker, he isn't directing play or looking for the pass. If you want speed out of acting half you could play pretty much any winger there and hope for the best. His ability to bully his way over the line and hit the line at speed clearly make him a back, how good at playmaking he is will dictate whether he's a full back, a winger or a centre.
