| Its difficult to understand how or why Moran and Middleton are themselves putting up with the mediocrity at the club, everything is going down hill. These two haven't built their business' up by putting up with mediocrity, I am guessing they go for "best in class". However, this isn't the case at the club where we are being dragged down by a culture of mediocrity. Never mind the team and its struggles the direction from board level is shambolic and its strange that the two M's have not acted. The recruitment has been poor, resulting in poor performances and diminishing attendances, surely someone is accountable for this situation? The two M's have to sort this quickly.

But they did act. They let Price leave they oversaw the appointment of Powell, and have allowed signings to be made.

In a very dark week as a wire fan this at least has made me chuckle. So thank you!

Free speech ? Let’s go back to the good times when we had to sell our best young players like Harris and Sculthorpe. Thewlis and Wrench had better keep their heads down.

The thread is not advocating that?
The thread rightly questions the effectiveness of the leadership not the crucial generosity of the owners which is beyond doubt. I dont think there is one fan that is not thankful for the owners wealth. Without it we would be dead in the water.
We are debating whether changes to the CEO or appointing a director of RL has merit. We are using Cullens logic that if you always do what you always did you will always get what you always got.
Is that a taboo subject?

Of course it is not a taboo subject but the title of the thread is ‘Sack the board’ not sack the CEO.

| I don't think anyone has suggested getting rid of Moran and Middleton (as if a handful of fans on an Internet forum would somehow have the clout to make anything happen). I think I've said twice on the thread I don't want them to go anywhere.
As the person who started the thread (partly as a counter to the multiple "King and Currie are stealing a wage" posts on multiple threads) I wondered if M and M questioned themselves and if they ever wondered if they were part of the supposed cultural problems. I've no idea, I'm not an insider, but I am mighty frustrated that none of the myriad ways we have tried to win the big one have ended up in failure.

Well, we've had several CEOs over the years. Sacking Fitzpatrick would, to my mind, have zero impact on our chances of winning the Grand Final.

| The board are there to hold the executive to account. The executive, in certain elements, had been making progress. New training facilities, PDRL teams (Adam Hills and all of his coverage) ladies team, social media reach etc. was all going well. But there is a detachment from all of those successes when the rugby side doesn’t get the job done. You can’t go sending funny twitter videos and get hammered at the weekend.
I’ve already stated that I think a Director of Rugby would be a beneficial appointment, someone who can work closely with the coaches (first, reserves, academy, pathways, ladies, PDRL) and report into the executive. It’s a big beast, a head coach can’t do it alone and a CEO can’t have real oversight while still running the ‘business’.
