| Sorry, my Auntie's next door neighbour's brother-in-law's wife's husband's sister's grandmother went to Australia and met him in a pub. He held a door open for her, he was about 6 at the time, it was Christmas 1989. She thanked him for holding the door.
He started laughing and said 'you talk funny'.
'I'm from Warrington in England' she said
'Do they all sound like you there? I'd like to go there one day.' Replied Cooper.
So there you have it it's been nailed on for years.
And I've seen him in Stockton heath buying a house.

| This NRL e is starting to do my head in, people are using this as a stick to beat him with, over something 'allegedly' said.
Well, do you really think any NRL team is going to want to sign him if he skulks around, not playing very well for the 4 years of his contract? get real.
he's not Neil Young stalling his contract out with Geffen Records (or Prince, if you want a more contemporary metaphor)
Seriously, he's a kid, who's got a lot of expectation on him, coming into a team that's struggling to find its direction in the halves, and at the moment is undermanned in the forwards and not playing very well. As Terry Newton(i think) said in his book, as a hooker, you wonder, are the forwards not playing well because he's not laying the platform, or are the forwards not laying the platform for him to play well.

| Also never understood this nonsense about Clark and the NRL. If he wants to test himself in the NRL then bloody good luck to him. As stated above he's not gonna spend his time here arrising about if he wants a move.....instead he's got to kiss the badge at every opportunity and keep spouting on about how playing for Warrington was his ambition in life all along? If he had already signed an NRL contract (like Burgess) and was ambling about with his hands down his shorts then by all means have a pop...as it is, leave him be as he will come good and we're in for a treat when he does.

| Clarke is a very good player. He's suffering from a lack of go forward at the moment. Hill is your only good forward currently, so all teams need to do is put three or four in on him to slow down the play the ball. Clark needs momentum to work properly at the moment as he's not developed the other aspects of his game as much as the world's leading hookers. Has he been doing any kicking at Wire?

| Not much kicking saddened perhaps something he's working on, seems to be finding his feet just at the moment, I sense we are slowly trying to vary/add more to his game but it takes time he'll be fine.

| Clark should be easy to coach
TS:: Hey Mr Clark, you remember that time you played for Tigers?
DC: Yes boss
TS: Well, can you play like that again?
DC: Sure, do you want me to start at Headingley of Friday?
TS: If you would that would be good.
DC: Done.

| i think tonight we got a glimpse of what clark will bring.... he is electric around the ruck and didnt get MOS for nothing..... players need time to bed into the team... and the team needs time to understand the strengths of new players.
he will come good... its only a matter of time before we are holding him in high regard.
to quote someone from somewhere......form is temporary, class is permanent.

| It's true that Clark has not been at his best at Wire, but is it all down to him ? I am not so sure. He thrives when we get a quick ptb and / or disruption around the ptb. He also does well when there are dummy runners around the ptb causing confusion and that split second hesitation that gives him the space to make a break. Tonight I would argue that Leeds were half a yard too slow for most of the match. That created space for both Clark and other Wire players to exploit the gaps.

You sir, have the rugby knowledge of a small, yet to be discovered, beetle that spends its days feeding on the rotting fallen vegetation in the amazon rainforest.
As you say the honeymoon period is over, and how do they come out of it?
Probably our best two players tonight.
Is there a yawn (bored by the relentless rubbish of another poster) round yellow face thing I can put on the end of this post? No can't find it.

| We need to back up this fantastic result with 2 nice wins against Widnes and FC, play like we did tonight and we can destroy most teams, and you never know where that could take us! A nice little trip to London and a return to Manchester

He's not even mentioned last nights game, too busy chatting about how football is ripping off the fans.
So when Clark plays crap he gets abused by him, when he plays well he doesn't even mention it. Sounds about right for the guys mentality.

Spot on WO.
This year the opposition knows what to expect from Clark, so he's a marked man and actually I don't think there have been too many occassions where he's had the space to do what he does best.
His defence has been good but he's just not been much of an attacking threat - or at least not at the level we all hoped for / expected.
Strangely our pack has not been so dominant so I do think that has got a lot to do with it.
Pleased for the guy and hope he can kick on from here.
Sims - he played well tonight and if the opposition target him it leaves it open for Hill to make more yards on the next drive. Keep it up!

Clarke just needs quick PTB and an unset defence to run at and he will do the best. This was shown in his break against Leeds.
