Myler was picked over Tomkins due to him being able to lead the side around the park better. I found that a strange reason at the time because i've never seen any evidence that Myler can do that. He looks to me to be a player like Tomkins that can produce individual moments of magic that result in trys and he came up with one stunning try tonight.

He shouldn't be the man under pressure after tonight. That should be Danny McGuire who didn't look capable of either directing the side or producing any Myler style magic moments.

If only Sinfield would step upto the international plate i'd be happy enough throwing the 2 youngsters in next week in Tomkins and Myler. A Sinfield on his Leeds form would take the oraganising pressures of the 2 youngsters and allow them to thrive. Unfortunatly Sinfield yet again looked a bag of nerves tonight bar a 10minutes spell in the 2nd half and has a huge deal to prove going into next week.

spot on in fairness to myler he was droppedf like a bad openny out of the salford team once it came out he was leaving we all know he's a quality half as is tomkins imo they both are the future pairing if they carry on their respective forms can only be good for the international team so let's cut the bickering and get behind them both whilst they are playing for their country at least

Thats what i've not got all week when people have been going on about which should play. There is no reason to slag the other one off because both are classy young players and both will be very good players long term for this country.

The club loyalties should be put to one side and whichever one of them picked(or maybe both) cheered to the rafters because ones thing for sure we bloody well need them!

We've been crying out for some quality young halfs for years and now we have 3 of them yet all people can still do is whine and bi*ch about which one is better.

But Tomkins at his best is better than Myler

Myler is miles behind Tomkins and Eastmond. I know people will point to the fact he scored two tries last night but he was anoymous the rest of the game.

If you lot were happy with that performance then he will not have to be up to much to get rave reviews for you next season.

To say he was in for his organisational ability yet failed to organise is a poor performance in my opinion.

McGuire was also anonymous.

I hope Smith has the balls to have a run with Tomkins and Eastmond, its a massive risk but we have nothing to lose. Both in my opinion (assuming Eastmond remains in league) have more chance of being a long term International halves combination.
