In my opinion we have gone backwards massively, isn't that 7 on the run we have lost?
Is it not time to look at the board that is running the club, they are ruining us, Jimmy Lowes was a rush appointment after he won a few games, the board promised a top class coach when Cullen went and failed to deliver, for me everything now sits firmly at their feet.'"
Definitely not, we have gotten worse....much worse!
Yes, if you want to count SL opposition overall it is a 9 game losing streak (Wigan & Hull KR friendlies).

| I agree with you Geordie but I don't think that the board will act so early into the season. A few weeks down the line we may be in a different situation and the board might have no choice but to get rid of Lowes
At the rate we are playing we could be looking at 6 games, 6 defeats. Wakefield away, Leeds home, Harlequins away, Hull KR home are all difficult games.

| Cullen had the right idea just the wrong personnel, who are unfortunatly still with us. Cullen was a far better coach than James Lowes is. At least some of our losses were enjoyable to watch. Sat with his feet up on the table like a bored schoolboy is another indicator of his lack of competancy, enthusiasm, respect and professionalism that should be expected of a superleague coach. He reeks of a man that knows he is going to be binned regardless.

Does anyone know Jimmy's win/loss record as Warrington coach? (super league games only)

7 wins, 8 losses.....if you don't count the play off match it is 7 losses.

| He is out of his depth.
Even Salford realised the head coach job was beyond him.
Can anyone tell me what our game plan was tonight?

We won 6 of Lowes first 7 games in charge, which earned Lowes his contract extension. We have lost 7 since. So that makes it 6 wins 8 losses, which to be fair is not a bad ratio in the context of Warrington, its a similar record to Cullen's and Van de Veldes.

| Before tonight i was all for giving Lowes at least to the end of the season. A coach cant prove himself in 15 or 16 games, but after that shambles tonight i'm hoping Moran & Co have got the money and balls to get rid and bring Hanley in.

| No they where not the best 2 coaches in Warringtons history, The style of play under cullen was certainly more watchable than what lowes is serving up and I beleive we are taking massive steps backwards under Lowes

Hard to argue against that - the problem is most people knew it would go this way - so why didn't the board see it?

| Agreed with orignal post. Lowes appointment was a knee jerk reaction by the board and remember one joker on the board at the time stating we will appoint a world class experienced coach.
In a way I feel sorry for Lowes as he was thrown in at the deep end with Cullens team. Honeymoon period over, board made the appointment too early and we are now paying the price. Bookies favourite for for the chop, must be evens with Noble at present.

| We need a clear out and that starts with the Chairman and through the coaching staff and finishes with the team.
Defensive coach needs to be employed now and players need to take a good look at themselves, those who want to go, need to go now before they ruin the season although i don't agree with the booing on the second game.

Well, I hope that old Dougie is just a figurehead, but the way our club is run it wouldn't surprise me if he was involved because it has all the farcical touches of an inept politician, which is what Dougie actually is, or at least, was.

| tbh we should give him the whole season instead of changing theres no relegation if finishing way in the bottom half is what it takes for this board to realise things need changing in not only the coaching but the players then so be it

The week Paul Cullen quit, Steve Folkes contacted the club to express his interest:
www.news.com.au/couriermail/stor ... 09,00.html
Quote "I spoke with Simon (Moran) via email this morning to register our interest and he informs me he was looking at another option initially but would certainly get back to us," said Fordham, who is using an English agent to help Folkes look for opportunities.
That option is believed to be caretaker coach James Lowes, a former British Test hooker who has been Cullen's assistant.'"
He is currently working as the physio for the West Indies cricket team so I hope he is still interested in coaching in the UK.
If he is though, whats the betting that Wigan get in first and get him, or Hanley or Edwards or whoever is the best coach available, so we then hear again that we had to settle for a mediocre appointment because there just wasn't anybody suitable.
