| Or thane:I got back in to Rugby at the start of 2005, after a teen angst chasing girls and money phase. 2005 is one of my favourite seasons even though we didn't win anything. It was exciting, the games were much more tougher and aggressive then, Lots of Sunday Home games so the stadium was always full, with families etc, we went on a big winning run, Gleeson and Fa'afili scoring for fun, Grose at Fullback, Danny Lima off the bench, Briers, Natty Wood, Chris Bridge, Kohe-love, Logan Swan, Westwood, Leikvoll, Paul Wood. Love that team still  Even as a Wigan fan this post makes me nostalgic. Loads of quality players I enjoyed watching there! |

Leeds away when we beat them 54-16 think it was 86 season I may be wrong..but what a joy to see Mark Roberts in full flow..if it's on you tube sit back enjoy then compare it to the modern game... I have been watching Wire since the early 1970s, and for me, that game at Leeds is the best performance from us that I have seen. |

| Or thane:Also (how could i forget) Joey Johns in 2005 as well I was just wondering who was left out of the side to accommodate Joey - so I checked! Turns out we moved Nathan Wood to hooker, with Mark Gleeson dropping to the bench. Jon Clarke was playing loose forward at the time. We played 29 games that season and had four ever-presents: Jon Clarke, Henry Fa'afili, Brent Grose and (perhaps surprisingly) Danny Lima. |
