Take a bow Rhys Evans and Ben Currie! Their defensive efforts tonight were nothing short of incredible. Rhys saved 3-4 tries by himself and then for Currie to chase Burrow on the diagonal like he did causing him to get cold feet and stop was brilliant. Not to mention that ridiculous run down the field during the second half. I think the whole team had a great defensive display honestly, but those two deserve extra mentions. Well done, some steel on display tonight.

Defense like a brick wall and attack looked good for the ten minutes we had the ball. Great start Wire.

I'm no fan of Childs, but I think another ref might have penalised you more for holding down.

Ben Currie looks such a good player, would have been a worthy MotM.

Some great performances, I don't thing he was THAT brilliant, but it seemed that there was 3 Gidleys on the pitch at any one time. He seemed to be everywhere.

A little too many unforced errors for my liking, but I'll (hopefully) put it down to early season rustiness.

Mind you, bar our first try, EVERY 50/50 call went Leeds' way

Good game ,good win but we nearly threw it away with poor handling & too many needless penalties.Good job Leeds couldn't take advantage. On the other hand great defence & 80 minute performance & how Leeds managed to move of the mark so many times without attracting the attention of Mr Child is beyond me.

Big mention as well to the great Wire following for a Thursday night away at Leeds.

We won the game with our defense. i could moan about childs, but i wont.

very encouraging display tonight... our pack was immense... we look good... best thing is, we didnt even play that well attack wise, and we were easily the better side because of our defense.

We looked much more dangerous than Leeds when we had the ball which is understandable with Maguire going off for them. Already our attack looks so much more potent than last year.

Given the possession stats we were exceptional in defence. I feared for us in the last 30 minutes but we kept knocking them over. Commitment to each other was amazing. Irrespective of the result we have a TEAM this year. Looking forward to Ratch, Dodds and Atkins increasing competition for places. Special mentions to Westerman who did big minutes, Cox and Julien who looked like they fitted in seamlessly.

If you were to go on a well-known video sharing website and search "Salford v Warrington, 22.05.2015" and watch for Ormsby's 3 tries, Currie's passing is pretty good! Think this will be his true break out year as a second rower though.

Looks like Jon Clarke might be our best signing.

Not sure what Stevo was on about before the game suggesting sandow thoght he was going to rip it up in SL when he came over - don't remember that, but he was excellent today, playing with his head up, what he saw in front of him.

Currie just keeps getting better, God knows how good he will end up. Positive start with a number missing (granted Leeds lost key players through the match).

Class performance...had everything we were missing last season; pride in defence, composure, kicking, teamwork. Our defence is clearly rock solid...our attack will improve. One of the best wire wins I've ever seen in terms of sheer effort.
